Congratulations! She is beautiful and looks like new.
I never saw the Tropical Ponies when I was a child... they were probably not brought to the country where I grew up. Their bright, bold colour combinations are so cool! 6

I always wanted her when I was a child, it was my favourite of the Twice as Fancy Ponies. So a couple of months ago I decided to start searching for her, and was lucky to find her for a decent price on eBay (10€ plus shipping).
She was a bit stained and her hair was an absolute tragedy. Still, she was in better condition than others I found that were more expensive and I thought I could restore her. It was definitely worth giving it a try! I'm really happy with the results, and I'm so happy to finally have Sugarberry! It's the first pony I've got... and certainly won't be the last. Introductions / Hi! A bit about myself...« on: December 14, 2020, 12:07:46 PM »
I grew up in the 80s, and had 3 ponies that my dad brought me from his work-related trips to Canada and the USA: 2 Twice as Fancy (Dancing Butterflies and Up, Up And Away) and 1 Happy Tails (Tabby). Before going to University, I decided to give away all my toys, but as an adult I regret parting with some of my Barbies, with my collection of paper dolls and of course, my G1 Ponies.
One day I might try to get a few of the Twice and Fancy, because I think they're my favourite, but I am not collecting Ponies at the moment. I do enjoy learning about the different generations and best ways to take care and preserve or repair them. I'm into the arts and I value all things that involve design and craftmanship, I think toys can be very beautiful objects that allow us to keep our imagination active. Hope everyone gets to enjoy a peaceful Christmas and end of the year Holiday season. Best wishes and thank you for accepting me in the forum!
