Oh wow, thank for the detailed responses!    I was a little worried my thread would get lost quickly but my goodness!

I'll definitely start looking at some Apoxie Sculpt tutorials and look into ordering some RIT dye soon! I hope I can do her justice, I'd love to see my sister's face when she sees some of her old ponies looking new again!

Oh wow... I still remember sitting in front of our old boxy monitor, waiting for the dial up internet to get going so I could look at all the ponies on this website. I literally brought my ponies into the dining room so I could have them sitting there on the desk while I looked them up through the ID!

Hello! While I've been into MLP for around 15 years, give or take, I'm just now taking the plunge to join a forum!

My first ponies were my sister's hand me downs and then a single unicorn from a second hand store (my dear Moondancer). I remember somehow deciding to look them up on the internet and coming across such sites as the Dream Valley ID site and Moondancer's Dream. While I've still been casually collecting, I've decided I'd like to take more interest in fixing up some of the ponies I have, ex: buying replacement flutter wings, replacing lost tails, fixing missing horns, etc. I'm also hoping to keep up with any MLP news, I remember hearing about the G3 releases and being so happy and it's been a ride to watch the changes my favorite toy series has gone through, though it does feel a bit like a gut punch to see G3 called vintage. 

I hope to find some like minded people not too bothered by questions on what's best for my current ponies and those sure to come, maybe even see some old faces from back when I first found the community.
