Wanted! / ISO Cotton Candy vintage G1 in great condition pale pink
« on: May 01, 2020, 07:17:02 AM »
 Hi there! I'm just starting my collection and am having trouble finding an original cotton candy that is in great condition--silky hair, no marks, head & body color match, pale pink colored body (not dark pink), CC foot preferred.

It seems that every one I've come across on Ebay or Etsy is flawed or the head & body color are mismatched. It's kind of amusing  I should almost start a collection of all the different color variations of Cotton Candy!

Please let me know if you have one to sell that matches what I'm searching for! :D Thank you!

:) Hello! I'm 42 years old from Massachusetts, just (re)starting my collection! I was 4 years old when My Little Ponies came out and I had the very first ones, even their predecessor My Pretty Pony!

I used to beg my Mom for a new Pony every trip to Bradlee's. In a few years, my sister and I had just about every Pony there was! Sadly, when we reached preteen years and no longer played with them, they were all sold at a Yard sale. There are photos in my family album of the original ponies I had. (Blue Belle, Blossom, Cotton Candy, Peachy.) I even have a cassette tape of me (age 6) talking about my ponies.  :)

What inspired me to start collecting again? A little while ago I watched the documentary "The Toys That Made Us" the episode about My Little Pony and had such fond feelings seeing the ponies again. Just recently my best friend told me he started collecting GI Joe's from his youth and how that recaptured the wonder of childhood for him. That inspired me to start looking for ponies. I get such an amazing feeling of nostalgia just from looking at pictures!

I just ordered some vintage G1 collector edition ponies from eBay and am eagerly awaiting their arrival! I will start with those and see where I wind up! I'm interested in collecting certain G1 ponies from years 1 through 4, including the mail order birthday ponies for January and October.

I'm excited to restart my My Little Pony journey, and am excited to find resources here to help in that process and to meet others who share the passion for Ponies! Thanks for having me.  :)
