In the recent lot I've grabbed there were two of Twisty Twirly Hairstyles ponies with pretty dirty hair. I've noticed that their hair is made of yarn and some strands are covered with some waxy substance that's now covered in lint and dirt. Is there any way to clean them? I assume hot water will melt and wash the wax out, but will they remain styleable? I there a way to rewax them? I have natural beeswax and could probably get some paraffin wax so I could theoretically rewax them that way, but I'm not sure if a) it'll work b) it's worth the effort. Any advice?

Can you tell me if "Orchid" matches Lemon Drop's violet when you get your order?
My Lemon Drop is close to Blossoms purple only slight lighter(she might be faded)
Not sure if I follow - I meant to ask if "Orchid" hair matches the color of Lemon Drop's (pony) hair colour. I know that Blossom's hair matches Lemon Drop's (pony) hair, except for nirvanas and re-releases. Are you saying that "Orchid" matches Blossom's hair and therefore Lemon Drop's too? (Man, it's so confusing that there's Lemon Drop the pony and Lemon Drop the hair color)

I can confirm that "Ballet Slipper" does not match Bow Tie pink. "Flamigo" matches G3 Strawberry Surpise pink exactly, G3 and G3.5 Pinkie Pie has strikes of this pink in her hair. It's a shade too dark for fading pink, not sure if any G1 pony had this colour. "Pixie Dust" allegedly matches Fading Pink. I have ordered Siberia, Lemon drop, Ballet Slipper, Sea Shell and Orchid.
I am hopping orchid is close to Blossoms purple as I have a few future ponies in the same purple hue that needs some rehairing. Crossing fingers lemon drop is close to Baby sunsets hair color.
Also TheDollPlanet's 'Yellow submarine' is very close to Baby Splosh's yellow, just a slight warmer hue but of course mine have joined me for the bath for years so I dont know if that effects the hair much.. how she dont have rusttail is a miracle.
Can you tell me if "Orchid" matches Lemon Drop's violet when you get your order?

I've contacted the owner, but didn't get the matching guide, I guess it's trade secret now. But I did learn that Pixie Dust is match for fading pink.

Does anyone have it saved and could share? In particular I'm looking for a match for fading pink and G2 Sky Skimmer pink.

Long time no see, it's been a couple years since I've visited the arena. I was wondering, did any new methods of straightening clear tinsel popped up in recent years? I mean besides curling iron/flat iron on low setting (aka Sparkleworks tutorial method)? I've got a bunch of G3s with tinsel recently and their hair is a source of endless frustration. Flat iron/curling iron leaves tinsel curled up from heat all too often (any way to fix that, by the way?) to be a good way of straightening it.

Here's a weird one: I prefer "loved too much" ponies to new or mint ponies. To me the whole appeal is the restoration. Frizzy hair? Rusty tail? Sharpie marks all over? Rubbed off glitter symbol? Not a problem. I've brought it to the point where I own only a single completely new pony, which I got as a birthday present. That being the case I can't resculpt molds or reroot hair for the life of me.
