Oh wow, the netherlands have so much stuff!! Canterlot, too? :O
(but it gives me hope that DiamondRose and CherryPie will eventually be released around here, since we got all the regular releases so far.. they're so pricey on ebay!!)
I haven't seen the glimmer wings around in stores, just online but always sold out. :,(
TrinityThePegacorn: Yes, the sparkling BB ponies! A drugstore close to my apartment has them, but kids in my area seem to like them, too! They sell out quite fast! Still don't have a complete set.. :B

Hey Euro-Ponies!! Due to real-life being super busy as of late, I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to new ponies. .__. The last ponies I've seen/bought in stores were FS Twilight and Fluttershy and a bunch of those new Blindbag-Ponies (the clear ones that aren't painted and come in a lot of colours.. wave 4??). I ordered FS RainbowDash and Skywishes from ebay, as that was probably still cheaper than looking for them forever and bonus ponies never made it here except for Starswirl. :7 Anyways, what I really want to know: What ponies are currently sold in stores? I'm still looking for Diamond Rose, Cherry Pie and all the new Wedding Ponies. (Trixie, Lyra, the Cherry one and yellow Pegasus) and the talking plush Spike. Have those been released in Europe already? - In the online-shops I usually frequent I can only find the main six luggage ponies. Same with the stores around me. So I guess Diamond Rose and Cherry Pie have not made it to europe (yet)? Do you buy them online or will you wait? What about that baby unicorn that comes in a sleepover-set with AJ? My FS Fluttershy contained info about her, so I guess she will be a regular release soon? :B Oh well.. I guess a general heads-up of what is available in europe would help me a lot. THANKS!

They are SOOO cute! I wish they were more common and thus easier to collect. ; ^; I have a whole bunch of fakie babies, but not the real deal yet. I just cannot justify the price.. Buhu. Whenever I am in Japan I search thrift stores and used toy stores for them, and most of my friends are instructed to look for them as well, but I have yet to find one. BUT I WON'T GIVE UP! LOL!

I have this weird thing about profiting off of something that I don't own the copyright to. I used to make those perler bead sprites of video game characters a few years ago, and people would offer me money for them. I would not take it.
I'm not saying that you guys that are making the plushies are doing anything wrong, I'm just saying that I'm too morally stupid to get into the game myself. 
I can relate.  I used to do sigs and avas for a few $ for people on here.. not much, just something so that I would not get swamped with requests. But the money you make from those plush, for some it equals the regular amount of money you'd get for regular design-jobs. ..and now that you brought up that point, I guess I'm in the same boat. :7

Haha, I have to agree with Opalescence.. whenever I tried to check out the bags more closely, I always had staff watching me like 'WTF is she doing there?' - Rather unpleasant. xD ..so I mostly just grab some bags and sell off the doubles. Or buy straight from ebay as soon as the demand for a certain wave is not as strong anymore and they sell for around the retail price. :B
But I never saw ripped open bags here ever.. no matter the store. :O And not all of them place them close to the counter (some do). But I guess they monitor them closely and have people pay what they ripped open? Or throw away the opened bags.. dunno.
No matter what, people who rip them open are just inconsiderate idiots imo. :C

Some of those plushies are amazing, aren't they? There was a Celestia on ebay a while ago, that was absolutely stunning! ^^ I have to admit, that in the back of my mind I have pondered about making/selling some myself, after all that was part of my education as a (toy)designer.. but as soon as I factor in all the time of making the pattern/testing the pattern/material/renting a stitching machine or having it stitched it just doesn't add up. Like.. $4000-$5000 for a one-of-a-kind would be a justified price if I compare it to what I would earn doing illustrations/3-D Models in that time so.. And you're not even guaranteed to even reach $1000.. so yeah. I kind of ditched it again.. (I think it's somewhat common that you don't earn as much in the plush-pattern industry?? I don't know.. never really freelanced in that before.. or did it as an add-on to a 3D model or illustration.. I do some for fun/exhibitions - But if I have that much time on my hands I'd rather do my own characters ) But I think the prices some of the artists earn with their plush are more than fair. Most are too low. On the other hand I probably shouldn't compare the amount of money you get for your 'own' art to 'fanart'? Hm.. it's hard to judge, but I guess what I want to say is that I don't think they sell for too much or that the prices are crazy. All the more I hope for Hasbro to pick up on the idea and make cool show-accurate plushes affordable for everyone. As long as they don't start to sue custom artists they'll still have their market by doing more side characters or specific versions of the mane six as Hasbro sure won't release those to the mass-market. (btw, I own the two jumbo-plush by TRU and think they are mighty cute, but I'd still wish for more show accurate plush. :B)
