Want her.  She's one of the few I don't have in the set.  She's very pretty.

Have her.  Whizzer's colours are really pretty, I love her mane.

I love all the green ponies of the world!  Green is such an under-used colour in the G1 palette.  She's so cute, I'll pick her up soon.  I have very few of the Fancy Pant babies, so I'll definitely have to make an effort to track them all down for my herd.

Wow!  It's always exciting to see G1 merch pop up unexpectedly.  Admittedly I think the pattern is very crowded and a bit too busy, but I would of course buy it in a heartbeat.

Want her.  I've always liked her, I know that pink-on-pink is an overused colour scheme with ponies, but I think she looks very sweet.

I don't understand why Munchy is so popular... I personally cannot understand why they created a pony covered in fast food.  How is that cute or charming?  Does she work at the Ponyland McDonalds?  "Would you like fries with that?"

There are very few ponies I have ever had the fortune of finding in op-shops, markets, and car boot sales.  However, I had one spectacular find a few years ago in a local secondhand store. Four TAF baby ponies were just sitting in the bottom of the toy bin, waiting for me!  Baby Sugarberry, Baby Love Melody, Baby Milky Way, and Baby Sweet Tooth, for only 50c each!  They were in quite good condition, only minor surface dirt and the stray scuff mark.  At that stage I didn't have any of the babies in the set, so I was over the moon!  Even all these years later I smile when I catch sight of them.  That was some time ago, and I don't think I've found any G1 ponies in the wild since.  The pickings are very slim in these parts when it comes to exciting pony finds.

I must confess that the only sea ponies I will ever really like are the G1s.

You know, I don't actually have any of the regular birthflower white ponies because my focus has always been the alternate Scandinavian set.  But I did just recently purchase the Alt Chrysanthemum and I love her to bits.

Pony Corral / Re: Poll: Is Mimic really as rare as we think she is?
« on: November 07, 2017, 03:41:01 AM »
I have full sets of the TE ponies.  I love Mimic's colouring, but I dislike her pose.  I suppose she was considered so popular because of "The Golden Horseshoes".  Who knows if there's any actual scarcity due to fewer Mimics having been made, or if it's just that once she joins a collection the owner is less likely to part with her because she's considered a grail.

Wow, what a haul!  You really came out on top!  :D  I'm a huge fan of the Alternate Birthflower Ponies, they're one of my ultimate grail sets.  I just bought the Alternate Alternate December version, so the opposite of yours.  I got her for a great deal at $220 USD, in great condition - I was lucky, I was expecting to have to pay much more for her.  A few days ago the more common Holly (same as yours) went for $200 USD on eBay.  So you've got both recent prices for both versions to work with now.

I definitely have pony envy right now.  Always has been one of my faves, and so lovely to see MOC!

She's not really mint though is she? Poor old girl. However that is entire up to you.

Well, strictly speaking the term "mint" means that it has never been touched.  So technically she is still mint... she's just not in good condition due to what I can only assume is poor storage.

A long awaited eBay purchase arrived today!  A MOC Alternate Birthflower March Pony on the horizontal Danish card.  The Alternate Birthflower Ponies have been one of my ultimate grail sets from the start, and I now have 7/12 of them (a mix of loose and MOC).  Actually, I accidentally doubled up on the August (Poppy) pony, I still don't know how I managed that

Sadly, this March pony is not in good condition.  Despite the fact that the plastic bubble is fully intact, she has had serious discolouration due to what I can only assume is sun damage.  As you can see in the pictures, the DS is very yellowed.  She has brown spots that I think is vinyl cancer.  Its not just the vinyl of her  body which is discoloured, but her mane and tail also.  I should have been more thorough when inspecting the eBay listing photos - had I seen the extent of the damage I would not have paid as much as I did for her.  I thought the yellowing was due to the bubble, but I was very wrong  :(

I loathe to de-card any mint pony.  But if she is removed from the card and is cleaned and restored to a better condition, I wonder if she would actually be better off?  I fear she is not worth a great deal severely discoloured as she is now, even MOC.  I'm very conflicted.  Can anyone here please advise me?
