I'm 110% on board with the theory that HASBRO was feeding the naming committee some cocktails as they brainstormed. Especially in the G3 era - some of those names... Scootaloo, Razzaroo....
... Tink-a-tink-a-too ;) But that one is onomatopoeia.

I love her! I used to have her, in my childhood herd. She's prettier in person, I think! But most ponies are. ;)

I bought Galaxy, Speedy, and Flower Dream at the same time, but Galaxy arrived first! So I'd consider her my first pony I bought as an adult. ;) I bought her because I love her colours and she's one of my favourite characters from My Little Pony 'n' Friends!

I chose Kingsley and Oakly, but my other favourites are Creamsicle and Leafy :) I wish they released a pig friend!

I made this post a while ago on my pony blog and I'd thought I'd share it here too! I remade the Crystal Princess backcard, available to download! The download includes the .PSD as well as .PNGs.

Download Here!
Process! (includes how to get font)

And here's a fake "scanned" card I made with my ponysona!

And for the love of... don't give ponies moustaches and beards xD It's weird.

oh god yes, FiM goes way overboard with this.. and eyebrows. :P I don't mind the occasional moustache, and goatees are cute (classic unicorn style), but other than that..

I HATED it when they gave ponies eyebrows. Beards too but for one season it seemed like every other pony had big bushy eyebrows. If ponies have facial hair, I think it should be long fur.

With the Target exclusive set from last year appearing at Costco, it makes me feel like G4 is truly on it's way out now.

I picked that one up a couple weeks ago!! There's some Weird... paint on some ponies (there was a Pinkie with THE weirdest error that I don't know how it could've even happened), eye highlights in the wrong spots, wonky CMs, others had a lot of factory dirt... but if you get a good box they're really nice ponies! I wish the regular brushables looked like this. Their eyes are so pretty and their hair is so soft! (well, the hair that isn't glued down!)

I love ponies with abstract or geometric symbols!! Rockin' Beats (ESPECIALLY Half Note), Silly Sunshine, Dabble/Scribbles, Winterberry, Sunny Salsa...

I'd just like to see really nice, dreamy pony vibes - a cute, unapologetically flamboyant art style (curly hair, sparkles, swirls, rainbows, glitter, stars - throw the fabulous kitchen sink at it!!!); gimmicks into infinity and plenty of variety with characters, poses and colours.
No blind bags, no mysteries. A surprise extra toy in a set of characters is fine, because that is a nice bit of fun

;o; this sounds so perfect.

I love this!!!!!! This would be my ideal generation, if Hasbro was catering specifically to me ;) I love cutesy and girly ponies, but for playsets I LOVE the "gold-and-gemstones" aesthetic or whatever you wanna call it that Filly has going on.

My dream would be I'd love it if Hasbro would get into the concept of create your own pony. Though clearly,it's probably too difficult and expensive and way out there as far as ideas go. It's more like design your own BJD with wigs and clothing and eyes. But it would be a novel idea for them to try one day. Have fans design ponies or a set of pojnies and send it to the factory and have it actually created for mass production.

I think Lego was doing something similar where people design a lego set and if it gets enough votes the set would make it to production. I may be wrong on that I just seem to remember seeing something online about it.

I'm surprised they haven't done something like that before. Back in 2012 they held that "design a pony, and we'll make it!" contest. But only the winner got the one pony. ;(

It's probably an academic answer from me since apparently they can't get the certification even for the Parlour here! But I would be surprised to have any bigger playset. A nice display one would be the Waterfall...but then the original was so delicate, would they want to risk it?

I suppose they might do Dream Castle as a piece de resistance of the line - but I'm not sure. The Grooming Parlour is easy and small and compact. Other than the other parlour/BMBB and the Kitchen (not in the US and full of tiny fiddly bits), there aren't any others that really fit those categories.

School of Dance is the only one that might work in that vein...?

Rerelease Paradise Estate. :devious: The toy selections at our stores are pitiful, they don't carry any playsets, really. Shelf space is saved for those plushes that everyone buys. I don't think I've even seen Sugar Cube Corner or Carousel Boutique from the FiM collection.

-fabric pony wear

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I don't get the "oh, plastic clothes are easier for kids to put on" argument, G3s had little elastic tutus! What was so difficult about that!! You just slide it over their legs and there you go!! With plastic clothes, it looks bad and its so annoying to put on because you have those little holes you have to fasten to lock it in place, and if you don't it doesn't stay put!!!! Also, plastic SCARVES? Over fabric ones?? Are you telling me children don't know how to tie simple knots?? You could sew it in place with a little string or whatever if you don't want it to come off! It's all inexcusable!! :stressed:

This is so funny! I actually drew Gusty and Autumn Skye earlier today. Tomorrow I'll post them, but I need to draw Feathermay too!
