Apple"jack" was my boy pony!! I didn't realise other people did the same thing! Applejack was the boy and Sunlight was the girl... It was almost 20 years before I realised Applejack was a girl!!!  AJB xx

Yay!!! Went along to my local Asda tonight and got loads of blind bags and 2x 3 packs with Zecora, photo finish, Hoity, Toity etc. YAY!!!  Thanks for this thread!!! Hugs, AJBxx

I would like to know if anyone else has fallen "victim" to the random pony coupling or grouping syndrome that I have!! What I mean by that is, do you have any ponies that just "go together" in your mind, either by some quirk of the order you collected them, or by colour/style/age/theme etc...., *other* than the groupings Hasbro intended? Do you have any ponies that you consider to be inseparable for no other reason than they just *are*, in your mind, and what for reason have you coupled or grouped them? To explain further I've included pics of examples of this phenomenon! For eg. in my mind, Applejack and Sunlight "go together" and are inseparable because they were my first two ponies as a child, despite them being from different sets. Honeycombe and Fifi "go together" simply because they were my first two ponies as a collector and they are both white with bright hair (see? Random!)... Or, does your "collectors" mind forbid such things? Are you obsessed by having them displayed in the "correct" order they were released and in their correct sets? Do you shudder at the thought of displaying, say, a G1 pegasus with a G3 earth pony simply because...? So, if you have any random, self imposed pony couplings or grouplings, then pls send me your pics! My favourite all time ever pony is Applejack of course! I had her when I was 7 and she is still with me. The next year I got Sunlight and then after that.....no more!  So, Applejack and Sunlight became the best of friends and inseparable (growing up together!) and I still have them both. They will always be special simply because of that wonderful thing - childhood nostalgia... When I was in my late 20s and returned from Uni, I was clearing out my parents attic and found them both. This started me wondering...were there others? Then I went online and searched places like ebay only to find thousands of the little lovlies!!! That's how my collection started. I was lucky enough to then find my next two favourite ponies Honeycombe and FiFi and so, as with AJ and Sunlight, they are now firm friends. I also particularly love Hopscotch so I've included a pic of her too, although I didn't find her til much later! There are so many wonderful ponies out there though and there are loads that I adore, especially the white ones. I'm probably quite a picky collector. Not in terms of the quality of what I collect, but in terms of what I will and what I will *not* collect. However, this strict list of parameters has been known to change - especially since joining this site! For example, I am now considering McPonies, G4 blind bags and DBs!! I only collect g1s and g3s to start with. I tend to rule out SS, BBE, TE, NB, FT, NBT, BB, MB, BnG, DnP, DnW, SHS, anything with wings, pockets or secret compartments, anything twinkly/sparkly or anything with neon/clashing or swirling colours!!! Oh....and all accessories!!! That narrows it down somewhat! So, to answer your questions: 1) I only collect pony figures and will probably never collect other merchandise (alhough I do have a key chain with G1 Applejack's symbol on it!) 2) I never collect accessories - got some in a lot of pony figures on ebay once and I couldn't rest 'til I'd got rid of them, lol! 3) I can't stand fakies! 4) I don't play with them but I enjoy cleaning them up and restoring them, especially their hair (a recent obsession again due to being on this forum!) So, I guess I'm picky but open minded towards change... AJB x

They're really growing on me, but I still can't see them as MLPs! Just seen two for sale on ebay for around £100! Way out of my price range even if I wanted to start collecting them! Maybe best to just view them admiringly from a distance... AJB x

I have to admit the wings on the High Flying Beauties are *stunning* and I am developing a bit of a thing for Colormist....she's lovely! Hmmm....could be a case of McPonies all over again for me!
It's so interesting to hear how differently everyone feels about them!
