My customs have their own set of shelves on the wall above my desk so I can look up and see them everyday  My Hasbro ponies are on shelves on a different wall, and the gens are for the most part separate. Although, my few G2s and petites share a shelf with some G1s.

Mine's head was sealed too but I eased it off, she's lavender on the inside. I dipped a cotton swab in acetone and was able to make a clean spot. The cotton swab is now purple.
Regarding plasticizer; it could be but she isn't sticky or tacky, just very soft. I don't have first hand experience with leaking ponies but I do have a couple of dinosaurs that have it. It's thick, brown and sticky on them.

It was a donor tail from another G3, can't remember which one. She had terrible tail rust, in fact the only tail rust I've encountered on a G3 and in my whole bag of tails I didn't have any that matched her original. I thought the green went well and was so frustrated that I didn't have the right color, so I just stuck it in

When is a pony a candidate for rehairing? When it bothers you. Are you collecting for other people or are you doing it for yourself? If all you see when you look at one of your ponies is the haircut, then rehair, because it's not supposed to bother you. Ponies are supposed to make us happy If rehairing will make YOU happier, then do it.

I have a Windy like that. I got her in a bait lot (she's not bait) but I had to move her out of the bin because her purple was actually rubbing off on other ponies  I'll see if I can get a pic and add it here... ETA: She's also really soft and her body caved in. I haven't bothered to correct it with hot water because I don't display her. It looks like the color from her symbols has smudged and migrated. It is indeed sculpted ^^ Also, the GitD paint I have (the bottles in the first pics) is latex so it's got a funky texture, kind of rubbery and grainy. Perfect for toxic slime

My current projects are going to take a while, so in the meantime I pulled out my DG fakies and wanted to start and finish a custom in a day. I picked one that was a little... off. He wasn't quite yellow or green, but somewhere in between  Oh, and bright. Very bright! His neon colors made him really hard to photograph. He seems to have gotten into something! For me it depends on how I lost the auction. If the pony goes for more money than I'm willing to put down (like Highlights very recently...) then I shrug and move on. I'm content waiting for the right deal, and I've had some very good ones, so I know they'll come eventually. However, if I see an auction that's ending at a time I won't be around, or when I'll be sleeping or something, come back to it and see that it ended for way LESS than I would have bid - well, that makes me rage a little Especially, if it's when I'm sleeping and I don't make myself get up to watch the end. That's just... ugh. No one's fault but my own, I know, but very irritating. Why do I do that? lol
