Vivillons are tough! It took some effort for me to finish my set. Icysnow, Archipelago, Sandstorm and Jungle are probably the hardest to get. Ocean, Sun, Savanna, Tundra and Monsoon can also be tricky. Elegant and Modern are by far the most common. I recommend offering up Scatterbugs on the GTS and asking for other Scatterbugs (their patterns are set when they're caught). Save before you evolve them, so if it's a pattern you don't need, you can offer them up for different Scatterbugs. I also recommend searching on the GTS for them often, and I do mean often, as in refresh your search every 30sec-1min, as Vivillons (especially rarer patterns) go FAST.

At lv41 the chance of getting rare candies is as high as it's going to get so I typically try to get them to at least that level  Right now my pickup users are lv41 (shiny Lillipup caught yesterday afternoon), lv61 x 3 (Pumpkaboos) and lv71 (Linoone who also doubles as an HM slave and who I left at the daycare for much of the storyline). I recommend using that Serebii link as a reference, as it'll show you an item chart (what levels bring what items and how rare they are at each level).

Whoops, haven't been here in a while Love the egg raffle idea. Maybe once I get my breeding projects going again I could do something like that. I've been playing around in the Friend Safari for the past 2 days hoping for a shiny Eevee and leveling up my 'pickup squad'. I'm up to 37 rare candies, 5 iron balls, 3 prism scales, 28 sun stones, 13 moon stones and 26 heart scales thanks to my Lillipup, Linoone and 3x Pumpkaboos  I haven't found a shiny Eevee yet, but I got a shiny Lillipup with pickup (hooray!) and a pink shiny Minccino today  So what breeding projects does everyone have in the works? I'm working on a Mienfoo, and a Vaporeon with Hidden Power Electric, after that I'd like a better Sylveon... There's also Haxorus, Excadrill, Noivern, Swoobat with Simple, probably a Meowstic, oh and Dugtrio... my 'project' box is overflowing!  As for Lucario, Ground, Fighting and Fire would be your best bet. Ghost would probably work well too, as it's no longer 'not very effective' against Steel, and is still immune to Fighting moves

Enjoy your new pokemon That Vulpix should have Hidden Power Ice too I think. Fun times with Flamethrower and Solarbeam (yes, Ninetales gets Solarbeam, so much fun with Drought).

She hasn't gotten very far, yet, I'm pretty sure. Most of her time since the game came out was spent in the hospital or asleep, or caring for the baby as her sole task aside from staying abed when she was home. Even when she was awake, she mostly played Animal Crossing. I don't *think* she has gotten her second gym badge, but I could be wrong.
Alrighty, I'll see if I can breed up something nice to help. c:
I've gotten her a Sylveon that I bred and evolved for her during one of her naps. She loves Altaria and the Eeveelutions. Maybe a Ninetails?
I can breed up some Drought Vulpix later tonight I've been meaning to anyway since Ponygirl was looking for them too and I'm between breeding projects of my own at the moment. I think I can breed a Swablu too, but I don't remember for sure if I caught and Altaria or not.

I got my Larvesta!  30/x/31/31/30/30 with Hidden Power Rock! Took a little while but I got it Now I need to work on a Vaporeon with Hidden Power Electric and my Singles team will be ready to go Also, did anyone else notice that Flareon FINALLY got Flare Blitz?? It's about time!

Breeding Larvestas now, made progress today in getting one with the Hidden Power I want, but my Larvesta and Vivillon don't like each other much (tough luck  ).

@Ponygirl- It'd be Solar Power. Not sure how much I like it personally, I haven't used it yet. @Corona- Volcarona is amazing! I have one in my Singles team for Black 2 I'm definitely planning to breed one in X as well. I'll probably try to get Hidden Power Rock on it so it can deal with other Fire types...

Any of the 3 can have their Hidden Abilities as long as the person in the Safari and the person whose Safari it is have been online at the same time

I swear, I just stumbled on some weird Pokemon version of a Mobster movie.
A horde - all Zangoose and one Seviper. The Zangoose, except one, all tried to attack/affect the Seviper, who attacked one of the Zangoose. By the 3rd round, they wiped the Seviper out.
I was sort of horrified.
... o___O?? Alrighty then... I suppose they do have a rivalry/mortal enemy thing going on, but still. Odd... @Ponygirl- Your 3rd pokemon is a Ninetales

@Milky- I'm ready to trade you the 4 you requested whenever you're ready now I think I'm reasonably stocked on some FS pokemon now, spent a day doing that because I kept getting trade requests from passerbys and sometimes had nothing decent to offer them  I really need to get working on a team though, hopefully this weekend...
