Rosierjay made me some tiny little plushie ornaments last year in the ornament swap.  They have yarn hair and are adorable.  But we have lots of plushie artists here, so here's a :bump: for you so they see!  :)

I think that technically, any time someone reproduces a Hasbro pony (whether it be fan art, plashes, customs, or any other form) for profit, it is against their copyright.  But it's my impression that they don't usually actually come after people unless they're really cranking out the products or making insane amounts of money.

Awww, that's adorable!  My husband rarely pays attention to ponies for dolls, lol.

I only just watched that movie for the first time this spring.  He looks spot-on!  I'm super impressed at all of the details you put in there.

What a cutie!!!  I love Pukifees.  :lovey:  So I have worked out my doll plan for 2016.

1. Leif's faceup
2. Leif's clothes
3. Wigs for Amber, Briar, and Willow
4. Talitha's faceup
5. Blushing for my DZ Angela (plus she needs a name)
6. Body blushing for Leif
7. New outfits for most of the crew
8. Start saving for Volks SD Coco

So very few dolls will be coming home this year.  I really want to focus on the current family (I'm up to 17!) before I add anyone new.

Thank you!

Aww, that's cute though!  It looks like she's making a snow angel!  :lovey:  It's hard to balance them when they are all bundled up, lol.  Mine all could use some new winter clothes.  Brrr!

So, I think I just took the plunge into the world of ball jointed dolls today  >_<
I got to visit the denver doll emporium showroom today and immediately placed an order when I got home today   I got a doll chateau blank agatha and an event doll madeline
As a first time bjd owner, do you all have any tips and tricks you'd share with me?  I'm just so excited!

Congratulations!  And I love DDE; it's one of the things that I really miss about living in Denver.  I used to go pretty regularly.

As for tips and tricks, I just suggest keeping your dolls in a spot where they won't be in danger of falling.  Mine live in a glass case that doesn't get direct sunlight.  I take them outside for photos regularly because I prefer natural lighting, but I don't want them in sunlight any other time.

The one thing that I recommend is to invest in quality faceups for your dolls if you end up commissioning someone.  A cheap doll can look like a million bucks if you send them to a great artist.  My Rindgoll boy is about to get a $150 faceup, which will be the most I've ever spent on a doll's face.  But I already paid $500 for him, so why would I skimp out when it comes to the most important part?  You know?  That's what I do for my own dolls, at least.  It's one thing that I will always splurge on.

It's a beautiful sunny (but super cold) day, so I took some of the dollies outside for photos today!

Melody.  Because she's adorable and I don't take photos of her nearly often enough!

Coralie.  I'm not totally happy with her pics, but these are the first real photos that I have of her in her custom wig!  And it was so cold that I didn't want to bundle back up and go outside after I realized that they weren't perfect, lol.

And Leif!  He just got his hair a few days ago and he'll be off to Australia for a face soon, so I wanted to get a couple of "before" photos.  He doesn't own a stitch of clothing, so he's wearing my husband's scarf lol!
