Oh good I am so glad that was what it was!!! I was so frustrated the day I couldn't find it. I swear eBay makes changes that absolutely make no sense.

I know folks have complained about eBays shopping cart before and that it is screwy. I had trouble myself once because they moved the request total button up to the very upper right corner. I swear I spent an hour trying to figure out where the heck it was.

I do wonder also though if they might be using eBay's Global Shipping Program, if they are you will not be allowed to request a shipping total? Perhaps you can have one of our German members help you compose an email in German to send to them and then be a mediator between the two of you, to see what exactly is going on?

I would most likely send my seller a polite message and explain your concerns, as you did here. If the item was not received in the condition that is was described, you have every right to question her, even if she was nice. She may have a reasonable solution for you, ex. perhaps a partial refund or a full refund upon return of the toy.

I see you say the toy is HTF, how hard to find is it? Is the price you paid a price for one in mint condition? Just curious?

Holy NEGATIVE feedback!!!! This chick is batcrap crazy! There is no way that she had that many bad transactions on eBay. I am so glad you were able to cancel the transaction and not deal with her.

*sigh* eBay lately just seems to support buyer shoplifting. So many ways that the buyer can hold the seller to ransom to get their item for free...

Mentioning feedback at all in a message can be considered feedback extortion and you can have it removed by eBay. Be sure to save all your messages and call eBay if she keeps harassing you. I would not respond to her.
YES!

The stance still remains the same here Taffeta on fellow collectors asking that an item be ended early  ;) We don't tolerate it.

OH honey, I hope you get to feeling better soon

I think people forget that when you are selling something on eBay, you are contracting with the eBay auction service to list your item for a fee. When the item sells, you have contracted to pay eBay a final value fee for the sale. It is a simple contractual agreement. If you violate the terms of the contract, well, that is cheating in my opinion. The thing is people still do it and make sales outside of eBay all the time. I believe it either has to do with folks knowing each other though or that there are buyers out there that prey on newbie sellers with an item that is in high demand.

I have had people e-mail me telling me an item was "overpriced" but that they would "do me a favor" and buy it for less than the minimum bid, if I would "end the auction early". These types of people are like the "early birds" at garage sales. They prey upon your insecurities and try to buy things for below market value by implying that they will never sell otherwise. "Sell it to me now," they are implying, "or lose your only hope of ever selling it."

If you want you can list the sellers name and perhaps we can take a look and see if this is a trending pattern with them. I know if I was watching an item or items from the same seller and it suddenly "disappeared" I would be like

Unfortunately your right it does not  The thing is unless we as Mods personally see the email/Pm's it is a he said she/said, if you know what I mean.

I personally myself hate time wasters and maybe it is something we can look into as long as it is a confirmed sale. Although that would make a ton more work for us, and we are already volunteer our free time  :(
