I stopped by Target today and found the Collectors Ponies on an endcap with the Pretty Parlor and some Care Bears. No SSC, sorry Icey. I'll try to check the others later this week. My mobility's a little hampered right now.

No worries! Thank you so much for trying. I wonder if they are clearancing out the line PB is in because the babies are going to be released soon (I hope)? It is crazy, right? I know there are other collectors in my area because a bunch of them came to my yard sale last year - LOL!

Icey, do you have the DCPI? I don't mind doll hunting and there are several Targets on my area

Awww, thank you!

I do not, but the manager at my local Target said all of the SSC dolls have the same number.

I've started keeping an eye out for her recently since it was mentioned people are having a hard time finding her.  Right now the only two SSC dolls left are on the clearance end caps.  My Target hasn't put out the retro endcap yet.

Yeah, it is totally crazy. I did not even know they released her until they already went on clearance. Basic Fun Toys kind of sucks at marketing.

Anyone (help, please?) - If in your hunt for rainbow ponies you come across a SSC Peach Blush, please snag me one. I am having a heck of a time finding her :(

Wow, those are awesome. I never shop at Dollar Tree, but now I am going to have to pop in and see if I can find some :)

I am so annoyed that I am just learning now that Peach Blush was released. I go to Target at least once a week or two and I have NEVER seen PB :/

I'm not too bothered about the Pretty Parlour.. but aaaAAA I want Twinkles the cat!!! *grabbyhands* If anyone doesn't want her - you know who to call ;)

Right? I want the option just to buy her and the dog from the stable. When I opened my Pretty Parlor (it came MIB) I picked up Twinkles and her face rubbed off on my hands she was so sticky!

Not sure. My hubs said there were no rainbow ponies on the shelf so he asked a guy. The guy brought out a case and gave him the six ponies. Chris said there were still earth ponies on the shelves.

My hubby and I got into it this morning. My fuse is short today (Mother Nature). He went out to run errands and came home with the six rainbow ponies for me :) I canceled my Amazon pre order. They are cute and they all smell different. So far Sunlight is my favorite scented pony.

How do you guys style your new ponies before you display them? I was not planning on deboxing mine, but ended up doing that today. Their hair is crazy out of the box due to all the things they put on it.

I actually really liked the reboot they did a few years back. The cartoon was done well and the toy line was pretty fantastic.

Thanks, LaW. I really do not mean to be argumentative. I was an expert on parenting too before I became a parent - LOL!

Ha, oh no. Not the bay bots. I am still baffled how those movies made any money. They were just terrible.

Gender is not a social construct or cultural, there have been studies done to show that boys will gravitate toward boy stuff and girls will gravitate toward girl stuff (both ape and human studies). The whole gender is a social construct stuff comes from people who have a very specific agenda. Anything my children have ever asked for they have received regardless of who it is geared toward. My son had a dollhouse and baby dolls when he was little because she showed an interest in them. This set my FIL off, but I didn't care. My daughter has her own Transformers and Match Box cars. The problem today is that people do not want to allow children to be who they are. They want to force them to be something they THINK they should be.

No, I am not worried about that because I do not buy into that nonsense. Little girls, like my perfectly normal and awesome little girl, like pretty things. Not all of course, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with girls being girls and boys being boys. I allow my children the space and freedom to be whomever they want to be. My little girl likes to dress up and be a pretty princess, she is also a beast in Tae Kwon-Do. I would not change anything about her. My son has a point, she looks like a boy. It was an innocent comment from a child, not something that needs to be dissected.
