What a great repositioning job. I like how you added sculpted lines to simulate muscles and the like in her legs. It really makes the sculpting seem flawless.

I haven't seen them in stores. I don't think they are manufactured anymore which makes me sad. I think because of this people tend to hoard them.

I find that lotion works a million times better for smoothing than water does. The only thing you need to do is make sure you wash the sculpted bits after they are hardened as the paint won't stick to lotion. Also wipe up any apoxie residue that's on the pony plastic after you are done sculpting. it can be a bit of a pain to get off after it has cured.

Gorgeous! I love her hair styling, the corset, and her skirt is expertly done.

I don't really bother giving my actual opinions on customs anymore. I don't really think "honesty" is a policy here simply because a lot of people get bent out of shape if you're even remotely critical of a piece. And then they don't even go directly to the source, they go whine about it to someone else.

Partner organization is up to the Swap Organizer and it's up to them to judge your work. If you think you're perhaps middle of the road but the organizer still thinks your work is a beginner you will get partnered with someone who is a beginner. This is where that whole honest feedback thing comes in. If you don't know how people truly see your work, then you might end up disappointed in a swap because you think you should get a better custom based on what other people have told you about your own.

I consider myself sort of in between medium and expert, but that's my own judging of my work. I have no clue what other people think of my work because no one has ever really given me criticism. I'm sure the same goes for a lot of people here. There are some people who ask for criticism, and those people are the ones who have an accurate representation of themselves and others when they enter a swap.

I bought some tickets. Has no one else bought any yet or has the participant list just not been updated?

This is a question posed at anyone who's done a :muffin: Pony custom and dyed the pony, what base did you use and what dye(s) did you use? My ex has really gotten :muffin: Pony fever and I'd like to make him one.

I just wanted to mention that I have turned my ex-boyfriend into a brony. He's been into my custom ponies for awhile now and was forever finding pony pics and altered videos on the net, but after I introduced him to the actual cartoon he is even more obsessed! It's just funny cause he's 39 years old.

Just thought I'd mention it.

If you have a Hobby Lobby near you they carry Milliput. It's essentially the same thing as apoxie sculpt and the pricing is similar only you don't have to pay for shipping. It doesn't come in as many colors, but you can buy the yellow kind for cheaper than the white. The yellow stuff is pretty sticky, but I think the stickiness of the epoxie type sculpts actually decreases over time (at least this seems to happen to me since I don't sculpt particularly often). Milliput takes paint just as well and you can smooth it out with hand lotion just like Apoxie Sculpt and Amazing Sculpt. You can also sand it down, but I would suggest using sand paper that is 320 grain or higher because otherwise you end up with scratch lines.

If you absolutely can't find any Milliput you can always check out your local game shop. They are likely to have some Green Stuff on hand that Miniature gamers use on their figures. It's far more expensive and comes in smaller quantities, but it works the same as the other stuff. I've heard some people swear by it as opposed to Apoxie Sculpt.

I'm not sure if there are any still going on at the moment. I wouldn't mind seeing some more myself...but only after I get some more funds.
