UPDATE:
Basic Fun is going to replace her.  Since I had nothing to lose, I took her out of the box and...she's not that brittle!   Her body is harder than the average pony, but nothing like I thought it would be.  I squished her over and over and nothing else cracked or broke.
A drop of superglue put her horn right back where it belonged.

I'm going to try again with the pics.  In the last one, you can see the broken off horn in the bottom.  The weird thing it, I can't figure out what she could have possibly even hit it on.  I never opened the box, so she must be a factory error.

Thanks for the tip!  What grain do you use?

A few weeks ago, I bought an anniversary Pinwheel at Target.  I hadn't realized how pretty she is with fresh symbols.  I set her, sill in her box, on a shelf while I decided what to do and forget about her.
Well, she fell off the shelf today.  I picked her up to put her back and...well...her horn snapped off!  I'm not sure how this happened, but dang, she must be hard as a rock in there!
I still can't figure out how to post a pic, but she has a gaping hole in her head, and her horn is rattling around the bottom of the box.

Customs / Customizing Playsets?
« on: April 24, 2020, 04:30:31 PM »
What is the best way to customize a playset?  Would putting down a layer of spray paint as a base give regular paint something to hold on to?
I have two G3 playsets that I would like to do something with, but I'm not sure where to start

I like her deflocked, but she's not a pony I would seek out.  The yellow combined with flocking just makes her look dingy to me.

Darn it!  The link works for me,maybe because it's my own!  Let me fight with it some more and see if I can get the pictures up.  I am not a tech person at all

Jabber and Jebber.  I have been looking for the set forever, and always come up empty.  I love their color scheme, their symbols, just everything about them

I have tried a half dozen times, and can not get the pictures to post properly, so I'm just leaving a link (I hope that's ok!)
I may have gone a bit overambitious with this one, but I had a vision in mind, and I am currently in quarantine, so away I  went.
Baby Little Flitter was an HQG1 Teeny blank pony.   I painted her, which went pretty well.  A few missteps, and I will definitely be improving with practice.
I rehaired her, and that was a job and a half.  I spent the first 4 hours struggling and losing 3 plugs for every one that stayed in.   Then it all clicked and I managed the last 1/3 of her mane without losing a single plug!   I should have styled before the wings, but you live and learn.
The wings are handmade and were also a bit of a learning curve.  I left tabs on each and fully intended to cut a slit in her back and feed the tab through.  Both tabs snapped off immediately, so I ended up using a thin needle to prop the wings and gluing them in place.
All in all, I am very pleased with her!   She is precious and I love how she turned out.
Next pony will be a full custom.

I love Ringlets!  She was always such a standout pony to me because of her bright hair

I hate the Cotton Candy pink.  No matter how nice the rest of the pony is, it just looks dingy and dirty to me

I would have sworn that there was a orange sparkle male pony in a childhood friends collection.   It must have been Sunspot, but I can still picture it so clearly

Mom and Baby Lofty.  I think she's so pretty for a monochromatic pony

Price Check Archives / Price Check on MOC, HTF G1
« on: April 05, 2017, 10:42:50 AM »
I have sadly concluded that some of my herd need to find other pastures.  It doesn't seem likely that I will be somewhere where I can display them anytime soon, and they need to be enjoyed by someone.  I need a price check on the following:
MOC Baby Drummer:  Pony and acc mint, box in terrible condition.
MOC Baby Stripes and Nectar:  Pony and Acc mint, terrible box
MOC G2 Princesa Lula y Princesa Libra.  Card in great condition, other than the plastic the reinforces the hanging part is badly yellowed.  There are not words for how cute these babies are.
Complete Berrytown (Berryton?) family:  Fair condition.   All are nice and white, but with faded hair.  Stray marks, but they are only noticeable close up.  They display well and someone who is better with dye than I am could really have some nice ponies.
NBBE Baby Ribbon:  Gorgeous pony, symbol has some scuffs.  TBH, it looks like it as not strongly applied, which seems to be common with her.
Baby Lucky Leaf and Leafy:  I have never seen these two so nice.  Luck Leaf has her factory curls and I see the tinest mark on Leafy's head, but only if you are looking closely.  Anyone would be lucky to have these two and they are hard to think about giving up.
Baby Princess Sparkle:  Her hair is still pink!  Most of her tinsel is uncrinkled and she is bright white.  She has a large grey (looks like marker) dot on her cheek and faded pen in the same ear.
Bobby:  White (maybe it started out pink?) hair, no mechanism or symbol.
Baby Leaper:  Near Mint. Hair maybe a tad dry.
Baby Lollipop:  Near Mint. I can't find any flaws on her.
Baby Blue Ribbon:  Looks great!  Some symbol scuffs
Baby Countdown:  Great condition.
Complete Sweet Celebrations Family, including UK sister.  Good to very good condition.  Minor symbol wear.
Trillion Custom:  Purple Luck Dragon.  Unfortunatly, this girl had an accident and broke her ear off.  It has been reglued, and from the front and on display you can not tell.  From the back, though, there is an obvious chip in the purple, revealing the white pony ear underneath.  This is only visible from the back.
Pictures can be provided, and feel free to PM me with offers.   I am in the US and buyer pays shipping.

I can pro
