The only pony gift I've received from family in the last few years is when my brother gave me a G3 fakie as a joke.  I'm hoping to get a few things on my "boring adult" wishlist though - like an immersion blender or a new kitchen faucet, or hardware store gift cards for DIY house projects.

Spoiler I haven't seen the episode yet, but after all of the horrible imaginary scenarios and false alarms from last week's episode, I'm surprised they actually truly killed her off. At this point I'm wondering if anyone will be left alive by the end of season 4!

I found another pic of a nicely groomed Dallas from an auction site... hopefully this image works for you! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI keep forgetting about Ghost of the Doll - such an awesome website! I was able to use it today to ID a horse toy I vaguely remembered having as a kid. Turns out it was a Crystal Swift Wind toy from She-Ra!

Haha, I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the outcome so far! Yeah, I agree G1 has the most attractive aspects to it for customizing. The large size, the variety, the greater availability of male/female templates so the original toys can be left alone, etc.

So let's say that Hasbro started producing a fair amount of blank pony bodies (maybe even without hair) and made them available for purchase at art stores, hobby shops etc. They make male and female molds of earth, unicorn and pegasus ponies in two poses each - so 12 molds altogether. Perhaps just white bodies, or maybe a handful of base colors to choose from.
Which generation would you most want blank templates from to work with for customization purposes? I ask because I know G1 and G3 are most often used, but if you had to choose only one generation to base the molds off of, which would it be?

The G1 Powder and Snowflake girls are lovely, of course.  For G3, I like Winter Snow, Mistletoe, Winter Wish, Velvet Bow and Northern Lights!

Really, how difficult would it be to find an actual collector to consult? I understand that the Storage Wars peeps didn't know the first thing about MLP, but surely a quick Google search could have turned up someone local? I dunno. I mean, I don't know how to ID and value Transformers toys, but I don't think I would just wander into a comic shop and expect a knowledgeable appraisal.

Just make all the blind bag ponies into brushables! Plenty of variety in the BB line, names are trademarked already, and pretty much all of them are simple color and symbol swaps that could be used on existing molds. I believe they can still pull a lot of G3 designs and names out too - lest their trademarks are expired. I dunno how long they usually go for... 10 years?
Anyhoo, I would specifically love to have brushables of Bitta Luck, Big McIntosh, Waterfire, Stardash, Tea Love, Merry May, Sugar Grape, Meadowbrook and Silver Song.

Is it true that Gusty has won the last three forum derbies? Good lawd! You'd think with the hundreds upon hundreds of pony toys, over thirty years and spanning four generations, there would be more variety in the derby winner choices! I think the derby rules should be amended slightly; whichever pony is the winner for the current derby, cannot compete in the next one (or maybe even the next two). The races would be more interesting to watch if the favoritism element is cut back a bit.
