It fills their belly without providing them nutrients. Next time you go duck feeding at the park take some peas, bird seed pellets, grains,... instead of leftover bread.

It would have to be the so softs & twinkle eyes for me; I consider them a core group for G1 (allbeit a large one...) since they made up the lead in mlp n' friends - the show I grew up with.
Tales doesn't quite do it for me; once they moved the ponies into a town and humanized them, they kind of lost their magic.
G4 had a well crafted group as well though.

It was bound to happen  The purple one looks really cute though. Wish the ears were at least flocked to make them blend with the fur a little more, but still, it's a nice looking reboot.

Oooh is this the first time we've seen the Ember figure?? She's so cute and tiny!
Since the Basic Fun rep said that the minis are simply scaled down versions of the larger ones, could that mean that they already have a regular size baby pony waiting in the wings...? Or is it just wishful thinking on my part? EDIT: Never mind, i just remembered that they made a mini Spike sculpt just for this line, so the same probably goes for the baby.

Can anyone tell if the artwork on the box is new or it they're using recycled images? Some of it looks like I've seen it somewhere before, but I can't quite place it.

I think it is new, but you're right, it seems familiar. First thing I thought of was one of the more obscure DVD covers we've had over years for the MLP Movie '86. I could be misremembering though. Bit funny how the Celestial Ponies' packaging has a sticker pointing out the 40th anniversary brush. Makes me think of Lisa Simpson's "But she has a new hat!" because sure, that standard brush with a sticker on it is the grail in that box!

Basic Fun posted pics on Facebook of the Rescue at Midnight Castle set and the Celesita ponies so we can see what they look like in the boxes. I took screenshots since I know that not everyone has a Facebook account. Is it okay to post the screenshots here as long as Basic Fun gets the credit?

The images seem to be freely visible; no need for a facebook profile. I'm not on facebook at all. As for sharing, I don't see why not?
