MOC Chief, I know I'd better win the lotto for that one. As a kid I had cousins and an aunt who danced at powows. My mom helped me make tiny regalia items for him, ones to match what I'd have worn. I was so, so happy to find there was a Native pony. Granted he is horribly stereotypical but it was something.
Atleast we can laugh about how inaccurate a pony that wore a warbonnet and had a tipi symbol things that alot of plains culture has named wigwam a temporary home for people that lived in the forest

I knew the proper names because of the comic. However, when we began carbooting we did find some ponies not sold here, so we gave them very silly and basic names.
German Skydancer - Seagull Baby Leaper - Froggy Pink Dreams - Kitty..something. I can't remember >< Had names for the twins from that set too but don't remember either one right now. Diamond Dreams was another one but I can't remember what we called her without checking my notebook to see.
My sister called Baby Ribbons and Hearts "Baby Christmas". I don't know why. She got her in July in an unmarked bag from Partners and we had no idea who she was, so.
I also named my white club newborn Beauty. It's really hard to not list ones for sale under that name even though it's only the name I gave her
I still use UK names because I grew up with them. For me whenever a UK person uses a US pony name they're still not using the proper names of the ponies I find it sad how many UK folk don't even know the real UK names for ponies, but sadder still for those who grew up with the UK names and yet still use the US ones.
The horn cutting off bothers me. It bothers me because basically it's superstition about magic, but gets dressed up by the people who do it as protecting Christian values.
I thought unicorns were in the bible

*side glance at Glory and Majesty* I can't be the only one who had a LGBT pony couple as a kid. Heck I even gad some transgender/genderfluid ponies since I couldn't decide on a gender for Ivy, g3 Minty, or g3 Applejack.
my ponies were all lesbians
I like you already. Also, is that an MST3K avatar?
it is

Add a few more years down the line and Hasbro releases Bride Wysteria with no boy ponies to marry
Thank Hasbro there were enough girl ponies she could marry.

My unpopular opinion is that I quite like the Waterfire pose, I thinks it's a pretty nice one. It looks like the pony is sticking its tongue out to be silly or blowing a bubble gum. ^^ I also quite enjoy G3 tinsel as long as I don't see it too often. Problem is, I feel like I have too many tinseled ponies to enjoy this feature anymore. *Non-tinseled ponies are okay too, hasbro ! * I just got Fancy Free yesterday with a bad case of tail rust. If my de-rusting methods ruins her tinsel, I'm pretty sure I'd be up to de-tisel her completely. But I'm still unsure, I don't like to damage ponies, I'm the first one against de-tinseling. That might hurt so much. ._.

No, US shelf prices don't include sales tax. Sales tax is added on at the register. Sales tax also varies between states, and sometimes even between counties or cities in a state. (Which might be the same in Europe too? I don't know.)
For example, sales tax in Washington state is about 8% statewide, but ~10% in Seattle. So a "$10" pony actually costs about $11 for me. Meanwhile Oregon, one state down, doesn't have a sales tax (but they do have a state income tax, which Washington state does not). So our 'cheap' prices are not necessarily as cheap as they seem.
Also keep in mind that in the US an ambulance ride will cost ~$600 minimum, having a baby in a hospital costs about ~$3500, etc. So we may be saving more on the front-end . . . but that doesn't mean we end up saving that money in the long-run. Pay now or pay later, as they say.
pony prices seem like rocket science sometimes

i guess i will miss toysrus for what i idealized it to be but it was just an overpriced toystore and its not worth a billion dollars to fix because we could do something better with it
and this is coming from someone that loves toys more than anything atleast we still have once opon a child
