Some of the cows I'm calving out escaped this morning.

Normally I'd complain, but it was pretty darn funny - they were peeking out from behind stuff and acting like they were stealthy. XD Goofs.

I finally worked up the courage to get my driver's license! I passed!

In celebration, Mom and I bought ice cream... and my first pony purchase in literally two years. Basic Fun Tickle. <3

Heads up to Northwest / Pacific Northwest U.S. folks that Bi-Mart carries them!

I swung by today to pick up some ice cream and ran across about fifteen 2ndn wave Rainbow ponies. Didn't see Starflower, but all the others were there.

I'll pass - not a fan of the Dollymix ponies, although they're a cute idea.

What method were you trying to get curls? I've had nice success with letting them dry overnight. That's without hot water, even, just wetting and wrapping with straws...

The method Safflower was describing - wet hair, wrap around straw and set with a bobby pin. I successfully did it as a kid; my Rosedust had killer locks! No idea why it's so hit-and-miss now. :(

Thanks for all of the responses!

I've only been letting the curls set for about three days, so maybe I'll try leaving them in for a week and see what happens. For more stubborn cases... well, it's probably time to consider investing in an iron anyway. Thanks guys!

She's one of my absolute favorites (and a childhood pony to boot!) Glad to hear that mine isn't the only one with a mohawk, lol.

My collection is finally coming out of storage!

*tosses confetti*

EDIT: Decided to put my rambling under a spoiler.
Spoiler
To put a long story short, most of my ponies spent the past seven years or so in a plastic Sterilite bin under my bed. My family and I moved to a much smaller house and I no longer have the options for display that I did before. (Arguably I still don't, but I've gotten rid of enough stuff that they can sit on the shelves in my cabinet and no longer have to be crammed in a box.) My room is about 144 sq. feet, so it took some serious Kon'mari'ing to bring things to a manageable level.

Honestly, it was a little embarrassing. I'm very proud of the results, though!

Only problem is, most of the ponies have mussed hair / slightly bent legs as a result of being stored for so long. I've boiled hair in the past (trying to tame frizz and whatnot) but the results have been... disappointing. Don't know why. Frizzy hair hardly evens out, tinsel continues to go everywhere and curls won't stay in at all. :drunk: I tried several different guides with no luck.

Kind of at a loss here; obviously I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what. Maybe I'm not leaving the hair in long enough? Any help would be greatly appreciated; I'm tired of having scruffy ponies lol.

I used to have her - sold her when I originally downsized my collection and I regret it. Going to try and pick her up again someday.

Ugh, I knew shouldn't have clicked on this thread. I want all of these and I'm broke.

From what little I know of the FiM cast, the sculpts convey their personalities really well - though I certainly have to agree that Fluttershy's pose is in poor taste. There's plenty of other poses they could have chosen while still staying true to her character.
Maybe I've hung around anime communities too long, but these gals (especially when compared to many others) are pretty modestly designed. I have to agree with TheBeatlesPkmnFan42 that they suggest an older age range than middle school, but when I was a tween it wasn't unusual to see girls with similar (or larger) figures.

My only other complaint is that Applejack is wearing a skirt rather than pants - but that's a common country stereotype and I'm really not surprised to see it, lol.

Are there plans to produce any of the other characters - i.e., Luna or Celestia? Or are they just sticking with the main group for the moment?

Sorry to hear that, tikibirds. :( Good luck and stay safe!

(And happy birthday, Beldarna!)

After having nothing but fog and clouds for nearly two months straight, we're finally having sunny weather. :relaxed: It's pretty weak sunlight, but... it's better than nothing, I guess.

Awww, isn't she cute (and so pretty!) I second Mewtwofan1; an acrylic box would be fantastic.
