Oh my I love these! I adore ponies and dinosaurs and you combine the two perfectly. I must own one of your creations xxx

I do have the two raptors for sale in my etsy, And I'm working on another Rex, but a different look to it. They are so much fun to make

These are insanely cute! Ithink that only thing I have to say (as far as co trixie criticism) is that they could use more then one hair color. Not on all of them, but if the body is just one color, it could look nice.

I would have never thought of dinos! Have you ever thought about making different animals as well? Maybe insects? Perhaps a cute rodent?

These are just suggestions, but you have proved that you are talented enough to take the challenge!

The green raptor actually has a streak of a lighter color in her hair and the trike has a lighter streak like moon dancer!  And the pink raptor has two toned green hair.  It's fun to mix and match the hair cause you get that old mlp feel to them.  I have a stegosaurus frame made up that I will eventually do too.

I love suggestions!  Everything is worth trying once!  Taking advantage of my maternity leave.  Whole year of me and baby, so I have to find time in between his needs .

Also I haven't styled the other Dino's hair yet.  Just left it unwashed or conditioned...  The orange Rex I did and love how cute and curly she ended up!  So much fun to make!

I love 90s colors, bright neon pink and yellow together, maybe neon pink and green! Pastels are nice, too... :)

Also--going out on a limb here--but can you make your raptor feathery looking and then add the hair? It would be an interesting effect!

Ohhhhhh!!!!!!  Yes!!!!  That's a great idea!  I'll try that with my next one!

So........CUTE! Reminds me a ton of Darlin' Dinos. Great job! I'd love to see more species and colors!!!

I had never heard of them before now, I googled them and oh my....not the cutest,  why does everything dinosaur have to be shaped like a stuffed toy?  Why can't we have normal dinosaur shapes but cute?  I tried looking up to see if anyone had ever made something similar to mine and everything was cute/but not cute at all .

I love making them!  Let me know if there are any color combinations you'd like to see!

Wonderful work on a fresh idea!

No symbol?  how bout a hatching dinosaur egg or something about devouring prey...or a meteor...

Are they clay?  or plastic?  they look like clay to me...

i think the two posed together are the cutestest.

I was going to do just that, but wasn't sure if I wanted to go that far with the pony similarities.  But the white triceratops was supposed to be a moon dancer remake.  She has the same hair colors and hair stripe, I just needed to add the symbol.  Which I think I will now do.

I wanted them to similar and unique at the same time, but I'm always afraid of going too far with designs.  Though I do feel they look a bit naked without any kind of designs on them.  Looks like I'll have to experiment!

These guys are super cute~! When you get the chance you should think about casting a couple in resin, oooh, and maybe add some sparkles in the resin like show and glows
id love to but I worry since I have no experience in casting, that the fact it has so many limbs that I wouldn't be able to cast it as one piece

She's a nice addition! Very cute! Her hair is looking nice and thick, so your holes are spaced nicely.

Yah I'm trying to find the right balance of quantity and diameter so their hair looks good.  Do you like the hair on the tail?

She's adorable! I love the colors you chose.

You should put a cute dino banner in your sig linking to your shop ;)

i currently dont have any programs to ake anything really nice...long are the days when i had the cool programs :<

Arts & Crafts Corral / My little pony friends - Glamoursaurus Velociraptor
« on: November 22, 2016, 05:08:10 PM »
Might as well switch this from customs to arts, as it's not really a custom made from a pony base.  but more of fanart of MLP.

Finished my 4th Glamosaurus, this time a pink Velociraptor with two toned green hair and sparkly green eyes!

let me know what you think, i'd love some critiques, or idea's to add to my next one!

Whaaa...    These are amazing!

Thanks!  I seem to be getting some pretty positive feedback for them!  Going to make a couple more raptors this week!  Does anyone have any color combination suggestions?

Really?? Soufflé is the best??  I did buy one pack of it, actually I think there is soufflé in the raptor, because I mixed three kinds. The soufflé green/blue, the shiny sculpey III and sculpey green premo accents.  I like to have the sparkly bodies on them all.  Thanks for the link, I'm still a bit new to sculpting.

I don't want to step on any toes but I found your Etsy and saw you were using Sculpey III. That's a really brittle, fragile, and low quality polymer clay unfortunately. There are much stronger brands out there for the same price or even less. Let me know if you want any info on them. I make dolls with polymer clay :)

I mixed it with sculpey premo accent to get s custom color, do you think that helps?  I am not a fan of sculpey III... It was so soft I had to be super careful not to loose my detail.  The other two are made just from premo mixed for custom color. I use to use super sculpey for my other sculptures and loved it,but I don't like painting the body, so I switched to premo. It's still softer but at least the details can withstand me manhandling them.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I looooovvvveeee your sculptures.  Amazing how absolutely perfect they are from paint to smoothness.

What brand of paint do you use for the eyes?  Having a hard time getting a good glossy paint for my sculptures. Yours are so smooth and perfect

The Hasbro style eyes are so cute! I love the rooted hair on the Raptor tail, and she is definitely my favorite. I don't really have much in the way of constructive feedback, but I wonder if a couple of more details on the body could bring them to life even more. Perhaps some scales, feathers, or patterns in a different color/shade than the base color? But really, they are awesome as is!

Sorry to piggy-back on your idea  but I reckon it would be such a cute idea to add detail using TAF symbols.

Ooo, now that is some nice piggy-backing. I love this idea!

Taf?  Yah the order of creation is trex, trike, raptor so I started to go more detail, but I think I'll put in more detail on the feet and hand next one.

Wow, thankyou very much! I theorised it was something like that but wasn't 100% sure - thanks a bunch, you've really helped me!

Np trying to get info from other artist can be frustrating... I understand they want to keep secrets sometimes but I'd rather let people know so they can have fun with it too!

They look amazing! So creative and unique - I bet they could be friends with Cuteasaurus! I am curious though - how on earth do you put the hair in the clay? As a sculptor myself I've been trying to figure it out for ages....  ^.^

Yah me too!  I saw a couple people who had done it and asked, they drilled holes in their completed sculptures, but I simply poke holes with the eye of a needle carefully before baking.  Then when I root the hair in I fill the holes with glue and push the hair in with a smaller needle then the one I created them with.  The raptors hair holes were larger and I regret that decision.  The trex and triceratops were good to root though.  I was really happy with the product.  Now I have to perfect the glue part.  Since the heads are foil inside I think I will poke the holes all the way through for better rooting.
