I never collected ponies as kid so I did not get the chance to use it, but I know about it! I would love for Hasbro to bring it back for G4, especially if there is a way to keep track of them online.

Wow. Makes me want to scour the big department stores for any leftover Rarity carousels so I can sell a Sweetie Swirl of my own.
FS Applejack has become incredibly hard to find, so those prices aren't as shocking to me. I think she was sold before or right when FiM hit it big and then they stopped producing/selling her. I'm lucky I nabbed her when I did--wish I had grabbed more than one now.

I don't watch a whole lot of TV, and my favorites are a weird conglomeration of shows that have nothing to do with one another genre-wise, so I guess FiM does fit in that it doesn't fit.
It's not the only animated show I watch either. I have been getting back into anime recently (oh, the horror), and I also enjoy Regular Show and Adventure Time when I catch them on.

I was going to suggest that maybe they had intended for Celestia to be pink originally and then changed her to white at the last minute, and Hasbro toy producers didn't get the memo until it was too late, but I've found nothing to back up my guess. Even Lauren Faust said they probably made her pink to make her more appealing to retailers ( http://comments.deviantart.com/4/1603670/1787420443). Like other have said, they are releasing a white talking Celestia doll in the fall. Idk if future Celestia toy releases will be white as well.

I don't think they will be blind bags though. I'm seeing them as something more like the "Gift Set" that came with Twilight, AJ, Pinkie, Celestia, and Spike, only on a smaller scale.
