MLP Nirvana / Price Check - Cotton Candy(s)
« on: October 19, 2012, 05:36:12 PM »
**edit: I have posted a for sale- auction in the Nirvana Sales forum! Pictures can be found there (accidentally moved them and broke the links in this post, but they can be seen the the for-sale post!)

Hi, I've been a way for a while and am back as I'm looking to reduce my collection (gasp!) and was hoping for some help with pricing. Here are the ladies I think I'll be looking for new homes for so far: Italy, Peru baby, FF HK, Auriken Mexican, Baby Mexico, Lili Ledy Mexico, Baby Brazil, Peru, Brazil, and no-country.

(I also have a greek somewhere, and a macau with her symbols rubbed off, but haven't yet found them to take photos, they didn't make it back into the display-case when we moved unfortunately):

Italy - played with condition, various smudges and dirty looking stains here and there looking closely as well as a few black smudges under her chin.

Peru baby - a very faint dirt stain on her ear and under her hooves, very minor dents above her nose (although they may have been there since the factory), pretty gorgeous otherwise.

Flat Foot Cotton Candy, not a nirvana I  know but hopefully it's okay to ask what she may be worth here with the others. She just has a couple of faint marks.

CC Auriken Mexican? (FF no country) Cut forelock, a few minor scuffs and a dry mane. I could be imagining it, but doesn't she have the best CC smile? Especially with one eye facing forward and one looking back. Good golly she makes me :)

Baby Mexico: minor dirt/stains around her hooves and face.

Mexico: Lili Ledy a few minor dirty marks here and there. Her right-side looks like it was in the sun as it is faded compared to her left.

Baby CC Brazil: missing her tail, circular dirt spot on her lip, looks like a mane-cut too. Still adorable, love her soft-pink eyes!

Peru: In really good shape, a few light marks that look like they might have been dots for a pen on her bottom (under her tail) on very close examination.

Brazil: end of her tail is a bit dry; otherwise she's gorgeous.

CF  82 Hasbro Pat Pend, no country Can't seem to remember where this little lady came from! Her head is not glued on (I can spin it), she's very hard plastic and a bit orange (from age I suspect). Advice?

Thanks so much for any advice you might have!

Introductions / It's been a while!
« on: October 19, 2012, 02:56:30 PM »
Hi, I've barely been on in the last years, so I thought I should reintroduce myself. I've been in love with ponies since Cotton Candy and I first locked eyes when I was four or five years old. I began collecting again as an adult and have quite a nice collection at this point... all the ponies little-me had ever wanted, and then some... so many beauties I never knew existed back then!

I took a break as I adopted the most amazing little boy, he's my universe, I'm so in love :) so it's been hard to fit in all the hobbies from before! I'm loving being a mom so much, we're on our way to adopting a little brother for him :) This is mostly why I'm back... due to two little ones, I need the space and the $$ that's being held up in ponies, so it's time to pare the collection down a bit (someone hold me!).  It'll be hard choosing who to send back out in to the world but I'm so glad to have the Arena so I know they will go to someone who will treasure them like I have!

Anyway, thanks for reading my reintroduction. Hope to see you on the boards!

Wow, so sorry that happened. However, that may be the best pony zombie I've seen.  Like you'd think a real pony zombie would look :P Glad you're going to find her a new home in her state. I hope your next creation goes more the way you're hoping!

33 min! I'd hate to know how much I'd spent on the old board... I'm have way less time now so I doubt I'll be whatever my old record was...

Zenna that's so cool! It's amazing how young he is for the series he's created. I really am enjoying the final book, its a real page-turner. In fact, it's cutting in to my sleep because I keep saying "just one more chapter, and then I'll sleep" but instead I don't put it down until I'm cross-eyed from exhaustion. He did a recap in the beginning that catches you up pretty well. I was worried since it had been so long since the last book too but his recap was great. I'm not the fastest reader around so rereading them would've taken me to long X) I re-watched the Eragon movie the other day too though so that helped too in a cheating kind of way. I hope they make more of his books into movies. Hard to do some of them without a huge budget though.

I'm so excited about the Hobbit movie coming out so I'll be sure to reread it before I see the movie. My dad gave me an awesome copy as a kid with beautiful illustrations.  So much to read, so little time!

You guys have me wanting to reread the Hobbit!

I'm half way through Ayn Rand's 'Atlas Shrugged' which is good but LONG so I'm taking a bit of a break and I read "The Red Queen" by  Philippa Gregory, I wasn't a big fan of some of her other books but I really enjoyed the 'cousins war' books.

I'm now reading 'Inheritance' by Christopher Paolini and it's not too bad. I stared reading that series and was fairly disappointed with Brisinger... It seemed like there was a lot of extra that didn't need to be there and it dragged on and on and on for me. This book is SO much better, I can't put it down and enjoy every page.
