Neat perspective! She's pretty, and those eyes are quite hypnotizing. *stares*

They're lovely, beautiful colours! Sinnamon Apple's orange looks delicious, and I love how the red of her hair and the green of her eyes complement it. Air Guitar's blend of Poison Ivy and Key Lime is gorgeous, must try that combination some time... besides, yellow ponies are the best! And Buckin' Lucky is adorable, I love the symbol and the neutral body colour.

Thank you :)

(Izrabeth, did she arrive yet? It shouldn't take more than 3-4 days to Italy; the tracking number is no use after she's left the country...)
I received her yesterday!!! Sorry hadn't much time, wanted to pm you  :)
She's even better in person, I had to force myself to stop admiring her LOL
Hairstyle resisted despite the trip  ;)
Thanks so much I love her  :lovey:

Ahh great, just wanted to check. I'm happy you like her. :lovey:

I love the symbol and the colours, but most of all - the expression, it's priceless! So cute and mischievous, or what would be the right word... She's definitely giving me the "would this face lie to you?" face.

My suggestion would be black with a single medium blue streak to match her eyes. :)

Great advice so far, I agree with everyone above.

I took a look at your gallery and I think you're off to a great start already, you certainly have a lot of potential! And not only potential, some very nice drawings, too - love those Pokémon drawings especially. ^^ However, I couldn't help but notice that your references and inspiration mostly come from other artists, anime/manga in particular, and animation - am I right? Which provide great inspiration, but I think at this point you should add real life and 3D objects to your source of references in order to get some variety and to take your art into the next level. Perspective and light/colour studies may seem boring but they really help you to improve your art, whether your style is cartoony or realistic or anything else or in between. :) The most important thing is to learn how to see, then learn how to transfer what you see onto the paper (which is definitely easier said than done!). Try sketching both inanimate and animate objects from life, quick croquis style sketches are a good way to learn how to capture motion and how to depict something in just a few strokes. When practicing, try to concentrate on the most essential parts, a few key shapes, rather than going for a detailed, finished picture.

Learning anatomy is very important, even if you only wish to draw in a cartoony style. Even basic anatomy knowledge will help you stylize your characters, human or animal based ones, so that they remain believable despite exaggerated proportions.

As far as digital art and programmes go, I can't help you much, as I mainly work in traditional media myself. But there are a lot of tutorials in DA, like AmberMarie pointed out, that will offer tips for lineart, colouring, shading and more.

Keep practicing, and, most importantly, enjoy. ^^

He is gorgeous, I really like the soft gradients. Those wings are fantastic, I can hardly believe that's your first pair!

Oh, Iris is so pretty! Too bad I've spent way too much on ponies recently... My collection needs a CSA custom. ;) I love her eyes and hair colours, and the flowers look very realistic! The light blue outline is a great addition, very subtle but it highlights the symbol and gives it a lot of depth.

Violet Vibe is lovely, too - such a fun design! Her pose adds to the cute and whimsical paintwork. :)

I recognize Spippo, but I thought that Angel of Death one was by BeeChan?  Maybe they both did one...

That seems to be the case, BeeChan's Angel of Death looks a bit different. Both are stunning, though. :)

At least this article recognizes the other pony customizers out there, but I found this bit somewhat funny:
"while they aren’t the only artists to make nerd-approved interpretations of the ponies, they bring a remarkable level of detail and authenticity to their creations", as if there aren't other artists capable of detailed, high-quality work.

But I must say I love what Moisan does with nothing but paint, very impressive.

Thoth, you're improving so fast I can't even keep up :P Your Egyptian art is wonderful, and I love the robotic critter, great work!

I'd be up for it. :) DA gallery link in my sig if you want to check out my work.

Are you looking for traditional or digital art, or does it matter? A ref sheet or just a picture of him?
