Excuse my ignorance, but what are the three waves that we are getting??
I know if the pearly ones, the headband ones, but I thought that the ribbon ones where before the headband ones. I have seen the ribbon ones for a while it seems.  :wonder:

Arts & Crafts Corral / Re: Digital Art??
« on: September 19, 2016, 03:58:33 PM »
So I am am a student artist, and have done traditional art my entire life. I was wanting a change and thought of digital art. Not knowing really what to buy, I starting reading and found out that Wacom tablets were some of the best. I went to Best Buy yesterday, and they had one for 70 USD (I don't really want to spend more than 100 dollars, because I'm not really sure if I will even like digital art) but it didn't include the painting feature. The only other one they had was 300 USD, and I don't want to pay that much.

I also don't know if I should buy a new program with the tablet, or wait and see what it comes with.

Any suggestions? Not sure what to do, and I would love to see what you guys have to say  :bigups:

So I only have so much knowledge on this, but I would look into programs before tablets. I know photoshop is the most popular, so maybe get a trial period of Adobe Cloud and try drawing with just the mouse/keypad to get familiar with the program (if you're not already) before you dive in full force. I know many artists love digital art, and most use adobe.
After that I would recommend getting a Wacom tablet. They are the most popular and well known, and you may be able to find a used one on amazon or ebay or even craigslist. I'm not sure what the "painting" feature is, but most people use the brushes on photoshop for the different textures.
And Like you said- I would avoid spending too much $$ before you know if you'll like it.
Traditional vs digital is very different, but digital will help you sooo much in the job market.
This may not be the most helpful, but I hope its something :)

Thank you very much, I will start looking into programs, and I had never even thought of looking into used tablets, I'll have to check eBay.

Thank you very much for the advice  ;)

I saw one a few days ago at my local Target, don't know why hasbro keeps making up new characters just for toys when there are plenty of unused characters in the show :/
Ummm...?
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Oh wow, I had no idea that she was a background character, I had never noticed her before  ^^;
Thanks for filling me in :)

I'm pretty new here too, only been on for less than a week, and trust me, you will get the hang of this website fast, and friends are super easy to come by. I hope that I can see some of your blind bags (G4 brushables are my favorite, but I have a few blind bags). And also your G1 Customs :D
I make G4 ones, but have never had the chance for a G1, can't wait to see them  :welcome:

Pony Corral / Midnight in Canterlot re-released?
« on: September 18, 2016, 05:12:22 PM »
Today, I went to Toys "R" Us,  went by the pony (or partial) isle,  and not expecting to find much, there were actually quite a few ponies there. While I was looking for a TRU exclusive Photo Finish I looked down, and saw a stack of "Midnight in Canterlot" sets!! I had honestly never seen these before in person, I knew that they were released years ago at Costco, but didn't know that they were at TRU, plus it was only 30 USD. It came with:
Dewdrop Dazzle
Minty
Nightmare Moon
Celestia
Rarity
Fluttershy
Rainbow Dash

Not sure if this had been released at TRU before, but this was the first time I had seen it.

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: Too many games!
« on: September 18, 2016, 03:38:10 PM »
If you like The elder Scrolls: Skyrim, and if you want to purchase a new game, the Elder Scrolls online is extremely fun, it's a lot like Skyrim (and Oblivian, and Morrowind) but a little different. It's a great buy, and I saw it at a very good price at Toys R Us

Pony Corral / Re: Is this lot worth it? A conundrum!
« on: September 18, 2016, 01:06:05 PM »
I'm not honestly sure what I would do, did they specify on a certain generation, or is it general. Seems a little pricy, and they don't seem to be extremely eager to sell it if they didn't send a picture, or at least give the specific characters :/

Pony Corral / Re: MLP not at Walmart?
« on: September 18, 2016, 06:07:06 AM »
This same thing happened around 2012 when the cute (not rainbow powered and what not) ponies were at stores. For months there were hardly any ponies at all, but then (at all the stores that carried them) they all restocked, and had a new line of ponies. Not sure if this is what's gonna happen to Walmart, because I am not aware of a new line of ponies. And didn't they just come out with the "Explore Equestria" a few months ago??
