Pony Corral / Re: pink toy aisle
« on: June 09, 2012, 11:40:24 AM »
Loving the pictures, makes me wish I was abit older in the 80's-90's so I actually could remember the pony parts of the toystore ;)

I did take some pictures of the pony part of TRU back in 2003 when the G3's came out because I thought it looked so nice and colourfull, but that's all I've got :P

Might be off-topic but here's a little trivia I picked up: Pink isnt really such a weird colour for males. It's only recently that the pink colour was assigned as a female colour and the blue was assigned as a male one. Before the 1940's it was the other way around because pink is a stronger colour and therefor thought to suit males better, while the blue was softer and thought to fit the delicate girls better.

Ontopic though I never really thought that it was weird that some of the boy ponies were pink. Some of the girl ponies are blue, green, whatever colour we today associate with boys. It's just the way the ponies are. Wonderfully colourfull, female and male ponies alike :) That's just what makes them MLP's to me.

That is very kind of you TornadoLovesMelody :) I'll be sure to do that if something else comes up. Right now I'm waiting for the verification and then we'll see if i have the gutts to actually test the thing through a purchase. Don't really want to upset sellers if I can't figure out how it works :P
So in that case i'll drop you a PM :)

Pony Corral / Re: What's the latest pony or MLP item you bought?
« on: June 08, 2012, 12:48:09 PM »
The last ponies I bought was today actually :P I found a bunch in the local supermaket that I didnt think they sold anymore, and so I got the Traveling Single Ponies: Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Diamond Rose and Cherry Pie.

Unfortunatly I had to leave a bunch behind since I couldn't afford anymore XD

Pony Corral / Re: Kind of bothered...
« on: June 08, 2012, 12:26:23 PM »
I must admit it was bothering me aswell, and it has been bothering me ever since the end of the G3 era. The fact that they kept releasing the same pony over and over and over when I wanted new ponies for my collection became extremely frustrating. I was wondering if they had run out of imagination or what the problem might be :P

But after reading some replies here I can really see your point and why they do it with the core 6 for the G4's. It makes perfect sense that they want the core 6 to be available all the time to people (kids and collectors alike) that haven't picked them up earlier for one reason or another. It is a good thing to do in my opinion.
However it would make my life so much easier (and my poor wallet) if they just re-released the core 6 with the same stuff aswell. Because as it is now, every time there's a new Pinkie Pie or Fluttershy I want to get them just because there is a small varity in what comes with them etc. :P Alltho that might become boring, but nevertheless cheaper XD

I think they have a fair amount of other ponies aswell, other than the core 6, but as someone mentioned I wish they would release more of the other ponies that are in the show.

With all that beeing said I'm trying to keep in mind that this is a relatively new generation. When (and if) this generation has gone on for 10 years+ (as the first generation did) then I'm sure we will have seen LOADS of other ponies, poses etc. aswell as we did in the first generation. Just have to give them some time :)

Pony Corral / Re: MLP Check List
« on: June 08, 2012, 11:12:49 AM »
For early G3s I am still a fan of Silverfall's Ponytopia.

I would love to find some more complete checklists though. I am in the middle of putting my collection on shelves and need to get everything inventoried. I was just buying what I thought I didn't have and tossed them in tubs when they arrived.  :lookround: I have a jumbled mess to go through.

Yeh I'm pretty much in the exact same position :P I was gonna start making proper lists of all ponies so I had them ready once I start my MLP room, cuz right now all my ponies are boxed up all over the place and god knows what I have XD
Plus I'm a listfreak (yes Twilight Sparkle has some competition :P ) I tend to make lists of all my collections so I can keep track of what I have and what I'm missing. But when it comes to MLP's there's just SO much so it's hard to get a complete list hehe.

Thanks to the help from you guys I managed to find a link to attach my Visa card with my paypal account. I'm still waiting for the verification code tho which seems to take ages hehe.
Hopefully I'll have that part sorted out soon anyway, then I just need to take it for a "testdrive" :P

Now I'm curious tho, where do you buy those Green Dot cards? If it's something bought in stores I don't think we have that here in Sweden. And I am using the Swedish paypal site, not sure if there's any difference to that from the american version.

Pony Corral / MLP Check List
« on: June 08, 2012, 05:57:17 AM »
I've been trying to make complete checklists of all the generations of MLP's. G1, G2, G3, G3.5 & G4's. But every site I look at seem to have things another doesnt and vice versa.
I've been on Dream Valley, MyLittleWiki and Strawberry Reef's sites - but like I said, each page seem to have ponies another site doesn't and it leaves me very confused while trying to make these lists XD

What would you say is the most accurate place to go to when you're trying to make a complete checklist of your ponies?

That is a fantastic Fluttershy army. She's such a little cutie, I can see why you choose to build an army of her :)

Yeh, I'll take a bunch of pictures and post here once the pony room is done :) Haven't even started yet tho hehe. Right now it's a storage room for everything else while the rest of the flat gets renovated :P

And before I start it I'm probably gonna ask here for tips and pictures on other peoples ponyrooms so I can get some inspiration ;)

It's getting more clear now anyway, just hope that the first person I do a transaction with will have patience with me just in case XD
