The Dollhouse / Re: What will fit a MH doll?
« on: May 25, 2012, 06:42:22 PM »
Disney VIP clothes fit well, and the sandals will fit Howleen...regular size dolls too with a little stretching.  Not the closed shoes, the MH ghouls feet are a little too wide in the toe.

i STILL don't understand how Scarah won ... so boring, bland, and regular ... my lands! i still say they rigged it so that she'd win nd they wouldn't have to actually DO anything cool ...

QFT!  I still don't know how she won, everytime I checked the FB vote, Arachne was in the lead.  I'm also not thrilled that the exclusive is a new character, at least with the re-releases if you didn't like it/didn't buy it, you weren't missing out on a whole character.

Thanks Rhini!  Can you tell me if the "number/letter" system is in the same place on the bag like MLP or what I should be looking for to identify them?

*edit* Nevermind, I figured it out and I'll be sharing my results in your thread Rhini.

The Dollhouse / Want: Cleo/Abbey fashion pack, Liv wigs
« on: May 24, 2012, 09:28:36 PM »
I'd really like to trade for these things, but I'm willing to negotiate.   :P   I somehow missed Cleo's fashion pack all together, and I'm obsessed with finding the pink version of Abbey's ice skating.  As for the Liv wigs, I hear they work great for the CAM sets, so I'd like to find some fun colors to try out.

I have BW SS Frankie complete minus stand, SS Lagoona stock, SS Abbey pieces (I think its everything but shoes/earrings, but I'd need to double check), and some Sig Deuce pieces.  I can also get brown/blonde Liv wigs, if you'd want to trade wig for wig, its just my area is all sold out out of funky colors.  Otherwise if you have something else in mind for a possible trade, just pm me!

THANKS!!!!

OMG
Operetta's pencil skirt... and Draculauras outfit in that coffin bean set! the brain helmet! DAT CAR!

no, this is not good. *hides wallet and plods out of thread*

I don't understand why they release dolls with those outfits though. Those are the latest fashion packs!  They should do something new!

They've actually done it before. Draculaura and Frankie had dolls in slightly changed versions of their "Day at the Maul" pack.

True. It sucks though. I just got the fashion packs and dressed the dolls. Now I still have to get these  dolls since they look different. Gaaahhhh!

Yeah I don't see the differences for Operetta, but Clawdeen's pants look ugly in the fashion pack, so I'm glad the changed that out for a skirt on the doll version

I've just aquired the new Abbey fashion pack. It's pink, while in the promo pics it was blue/purple. Can anyone confirm if there is any blue/purple ones out there?
I like the pink one, but I really could use that purple skirt too if it 'exist' ;)

They do come in purple!  Mine is just like the promo pics.  It was the only one at Walmart, so I don't know if its one of each to a case, random, etc.

The Dollhouse / Re: How do I deal with my hubby about MH collection?
« on: April 10, 2012, 08:22:25 AM »
Sounds like he really isn't respecting you or your daughter's opinions very much, and certainly not recognizing your repeated wishes to drop it because it's upsetting her, which is something that probably should be discussed outside the doll issue.

That aside, I think he should be content with having a happy well-rounded daughter, and find something else to worry and obsess over that's more important than a doll collection.  It isn't about their monetary value, its about the experience, and whatever it means to your daughter.

Instead of stressing her out and making her cry so often, maybe he could try understanding why she likes them so much, and find a way to bond over it.  Value her happiness over his own issues with it whatever they may be, even if he doesn't understand the appeal.  It isn't about him, what he did as a kid or what he would do now, it's about being supportive of his daughter - regardless.

The dolls might not be an issue in the future, but then again maybe she'll want to be a life long collector, in which case this will just continue to drive a wedge between them.  Right now you don't know.  The best thing any parent can do for their child is to love and support them and their decisions, even if they don't understand or necessarily agree, so long as they aren't hurting themselves/others or causing financial problems for themselves/the family.  (This goes for everything, not just toys.)

You can't make a person understand collecting or agree its a worthwhile endeavor for your time/money, but you shouldn't have to "convince them of its value" to understand it makes the person you love happy.
