I'm gonna have a contrary opinion and say neither. That's not to say I don't want a variety of characters or poses but that neither one is enough if they are going to be the same basic solid colored plastic, regular nylon hair, single cutie mark ponies. Not even if they have both. More important to me are the little "gimmicks" that go back all the way to G1 and are part of why it was so great. I hope for things like TAF markings or pearly bodies.

I'm looking for help obtaining something that so far only seems to be carried there. Specifically Little Bebops Dulce Catrina dolls.
I'm also looking for help from someone in Canada to get the G5 Snow Party Countdown Advent Calendar. It's in stock on Canada Amazon and for some reason Canada Amazon doesn't let people in the US buy from there.

Yeah it's not particularly uncommon for comic covers to have NOTHING to do with the actual story, including featuring characters that are nowhere to be found in the actual story. (Honestly I think I've seen more "completely unrelated to the story" covers, than ones that actually WERE related to the story!) I agree it is misleading in this particular case, though.
Spoiler So we need to wait 2 more issues for any G1 ponies to show up? What... I am so confused right now... could be misleading, solicitations can be confusingly worded or straight-up intentional misdirects, but.. *confused*
And yeah, G1 or G3 Minty? G1 Minty was never in the cartoons so I don't see what they could do with her (again, I'm assuming these writers aren't going to be familiar with the G1 comics/backcards/etc), but it'd be really weird if G3 Minty was just... there...
Spoiler They could just take G1 Minty and give her G3 Minty's personality.
Spoiler geez, I hope not :p They're different characters with the same name, let's leave it at that and not do the "Oh, same name, same diff right?" thing.
Spoiler But what I gathered from here she doesn't really have a canon personality. (Tbh I'm not super well versed in the G1 cartoon. While I am into all generations as far as the toys go I never really watched any of the cartoons before G4 and even that one I dropped off on somewhere along the way) If that's the case then while it's not the most creative move it wouldn't go against any past canon if they did that.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I just don't get WHY "everypony" exists in the first place. Everybody, everyone, how are those "human-specific" terms??? We don't say "everyhuman"!!! It just sounds so stupid and forced.
"Everycreature", oh my god... gotta hand it to them, I never thought they could get worse than "everypony", but there you have it. x)
Tbh "everyhuman" has the same problem "everycreature" has. It just doesn't roll off the tongue. "Everykid" does exist and I think "everypony" is similar to that. Like kids have bodies too so it isn't necessary but language is like that.

Spoiler So they don't show up till the second-to-last issue, and are now a completely different set of ponies then the ones on the covers? I mean, I'm glad they're going with some of the movie ponies. It just seems to be a bit strange that they're doing a sudden switch-a-roo. Also, why is Minty there?  It says "and more" so the ones from the cover could be in there too.

I too liked this line and am also disappointed Rarity didn't get made in a line that supposedly revolves around fashion. Especially since Celestia and Cadence in the Royal Premier set use what is clearly a Rarity hair mold. At least I was able to find the Pinkie and DJ set and the Royal Premier sets online. I personally don't like the clothes or how they look standing on two legs but once you put them in a more normal pony pose they look great.

I don't get out so your picture was the first time I've seen her. I'm actually not sure how I feel about her. Maybe if I saw more of het she'd grow on me but right now I'm still m the fence.
That's not my picture it's just someone on Instagram who found them. Unfortunately they found them at a store I don't have near me.

Yep, that set exists at least in stock photos! Just not on the poster that I got from the other Crystal Adventure sets.  I’m wondering if maybe he will be part of a wave 2 shipment along with more Crystal Adventure Izzys once manufacturing and shipping delays catch up. That Izzy is pretty impossible to find in stores here, either due to her being extremely popular or under-manufactured and delayed, or just not shipped with the other girls. All we have are Sunny, Zipp and Pipp galore.
It wouldn't be the first time Hasbro left the second wave off the insert. It's happened all the way back to G3 at least.

I think it's obvious it's a joke comment, trying to lighten the thread from the previous darker, now segregated topic.
The reality is that I posted it at 2am, didn't see the word song in the post, and that's all. My eyes skip on screen sometimes and I don't always see every word, especially when I'm tired. I just made a mistake and misread it. No big drama.
It would've been fair enough to call me out on that mistake, to which I hold up my hands, but anything beyond that is ridiculous and frankly, a bit rude.
It's a shame that it's apparently no longer possible to have light-hearted banter on pony discussion threads.
