A FiM movie would be great - I'm sure it would be as entertaining as the show - but I'd be happy to see a movie about a group of new ponies.
I wouldn't necessarily need human characters, but if there were any, I'd rather they go to the ponies' world like Megan in G1. One of my favourite things about G1 was the idea that there was this magical land over the rainbow. I wanted to get away from the "real world" I had to live in.
I'd be happy with a FiM villain in a FiM movie, but if it were original ponies, they should have an original villain. Or someone like Grogar from the G1 cartoon. A respectable, scary villain, with a goofy sidekick.

Probably Ghoulia, except that I never let the world's Cleo's push me around. I did have a friend a lot like Cleo, but I was also infamous for being the only girl who ever told her off.
So, a mix between Ghoulia and Operetta then. A nerd who didn't care if other people didn't like her swag.

I just got Barber Groomsby, the mustachio'ed blind bag pony, at Comic Con this past weekend. I showed a picture of him to a co worker saying "look at Movember pony, isn't he the manliest thing you ever saw?"
And she (not a pony person) emailed back and said he looks like Hitler!!!
Poor Barber Groomsby! Now when I look at him I think about Hitler-pony!

I think a lot of overly sexualized pony art is kind of gross, but on the other hand, I wrote some Halo yaoi (romances between some of the alien characters). There are people who are going to think that is gross too because their whole idea of Halo is Master Chief shooting stuff. Another thing is, I've seen ponies drawn as anime girls, and I thought they were cute. Now my "Cute" might be your "scantily dressed" and there's a bit of a slope that varies depending on people's tastes.
So, if adults want to draw or otherwise imagine pony characters in sexual situations, that's their business. It's imaginary and mostly harmless (mostly because it's possible for children to stumble across it too easily in many cases; frankly I think that if you're going to write or draw something explicit, the creator should put warning labels on it, so those who don't want to see it can avoid it. I like DeviantArt's mature content warning.)
If people keep their fantasies private or limited to likeminded people, then if they aren't hurting anyone in real life I don't care what turns their cranks.
Edit: As far as bestiality goes: 3/4 of the sexy/smutty pony art I've seen has the ponies drawn as humans or anthros (humanized animals). I'm a bit bothered by the 1/4 that's ponies AS HORSES being all sexualized, but...
I think about it this way. If there was a non-human creature that was as intelligent as a human being, and it wanted to have sex, would that be bestiality? I don't think so, because the reason bestiality is illegal is that animals are incapable of giving consent. So if a MLP really existed, it would be an equine like creature with the same intelligence as humans, and would be capable of giving consent (assuming it was an adult, in sound mental health etc) and so it could have sex if it wanted to.
I sincerely hope the people who draw sexy art of MLPs as horses, are attracted to the characters/personalities, and not to the fact that they are horses. Because the first is attraction to a sentient being that happens to be a pony, and the second is attraction to a non sentient animal (ie bestiality).

I think carefully about what I buy, so my only regret is when CAM first came out and had only one torso, I bought three of each pack: so I could make both dolls inside each pack and also make two of the bonus add on characters (three eyed ghoul and bee). If I had waited, I would have done much better when they started shipping two torsos in each pack.

So until now I've stayed away from this forum and your plastic crack  but since this summer is my first trip to the My Little Pony fair all of a sudden I'm surprised to find myself thinking seriously about getting a nirvana pony. I have a whole bunch of North American G1's and, to date, six UK exclusives. The "crown jewel" of my collection is Baby Berrytown with her funky gradient hair. And yet all of a sudden part of me thinks it might be cool to have a pony that most people in North America don't even know exists. Something like a pony from Argentina, or Peru. Something you could never buy at a store in north america. So I want to hear stories about why you collect Nirvanas? Is it that you think they're prettier, you have all the North American G1s already, you want something unusual or more challenging to find? (And do you have any advice for a newbie?)
