Pony Corral / Re: Unusual hoof markings for G1 Brush n grow Curly Locks

These are pretty hard to find. I've also seen a Pretty Vision with the circular China stamp (although I foolishly sold her as a double not realizing she was rare at the time).

Price Check Archives / Re: PC Rapunzel's barrette

Rapunzel's barrettes are two of the last accessories I'm missing to complete the US line. I'm not sure what a fair price would be, but I'm very interested when you sell. :)

MLP Nirvana / Re: CP Sundance Catalogue Photo

Check this out.. Looks like Argos strikes again... Its a catalogue image from Argos with a butterscotch for the pretty parlor.. Some of the accessories look different too.. Has anyone seen this?

The accessories shown in that Parlour promo picture are similar to what is shown in the 1983 US Hasbro toy fair catalog pictures. The cat shown in the US Hasbro catalog is more cartoon-ish than the one that was produced for the Parlor, and the other items seem to be quick mock-ups with a lower quality plastic basket & some handmade looking reins & hat decorations. Perhaps (at least in 1983/4 at the very beginning of the line) Argos did have some pre-production items for their photos. I really don't know much about Argos photos other than what the longtime UK pony people  have shared online, so that's really all I have to add here. ;)

MLP Nirvana / Re: What are your nirvana collecting goals for 2017?
« on: December 28, 2016, 08:00:17 PM »
My 2017 goal will be to reassess my international ponies and probably downsize a bit more.  :cloud:

My last big Nirvana pony purchase was almost 3 years ago. If I suddenly were able to add some new ponies, I think the top of my list would be Greek Babies Bluebelle & Minty (darker versions of both).

Pony Corral / Re: Fixing Waterfall Playset
« on: December 27, 2016, 11:33:16 AM »
You will want to use 2 part Apoxy. It's a type of glue that comes in 2 separate tubes, you squirt it out & mix the 2 substances together, and they create a strong bond. I have fixed 3 cracked Waterfall play sets (including my childhood one which cracked in the same way as yours) and it holds up well with that type of plastic. Remove the cloud & completely remove the rainbow/sun piece from the base. Spread glue on both sides of the cracked piece, press together & hold for a few minutes, then let it dry over night sitting upright so the cracked piece does not slip out of place.

Better to have a tiny corner of a Mountain Boy card than no part of it at all. ;) Sometimes it's funny what manages to survive from our childhood!

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Issue with eBay and buyer dispute. Help??
« on: December 20, 2016, 06:12:52 PM »
If the tracking shows delivered, eBay & PayPal should side with you. This is a fairly common scam eBay buyers try to pull these days. Stick to your guns. Inform the buyer that the tracking shows delivered and if it was in fact stolen off her porch, she will need to file a police report. Inform her that mail theft is considered a federal offense and insist she follow up with the local authorities. In some instances, when a dishonest buyer gets the message that you are familiar with the laws regarding mail theft, their package will magically be found, and they will drop the case.

On the flip side, mail theft is more common around the holidays so it is possible the buyer is being honest. Either way, this problem is between the buyer, her local post office, and the police.

Calling eBay to explain your situation may also help to move your case along quicker and release the hold on your account. Best of luck to you!!

Edit to add:
For what it's worth, I have had more problems selling Littlest Pet Shop on eBay than any other type of item. Multiple cases of "my kid bought this without my permission, please cancel the transaction", non-payers on auctions, and other hassles. Many collectors are kids or teens, rather than adults. My gut instinct is that your buyer bought something they really couldn't afford & they are trying to get you to refund it with this "missing package" story.

Call eBay & state your case. Don't let the buyer pressure you into a refund.

Pony Corral / Re: Original prices for G1 ponies in store?
« on: November 30, 2016, 07:13:13 PM »
Most carded ponies were $3.99-4.99. Some later year baby ponies that were sold on cards were $2.99-3.99. If they came in a box they were generally $7-10, and sometimes up to $12 depending on size of the package.

Paradise Estate was $50... which was a huge sum for a toy back in the mid-80's. The Perm Shoppe was $35 (second most expensive play set). I remember buying it with my own money that I had saved up when I was little. Most play sets were $20, $25, or $30 depending on size.

I remember buying a lot of ponies with money I saved from birthdays & good report cards when I was little. $5 was a typical amount to find in a birthday card AND conveniently just enough for a new pony.

I do have one other thought though. Are letters put through a different sorting system? I'd be worried by lying and falsely marking something too large as a "letter size" it could be damaged or torn if it goes through any different sort of processing.

Yes! Anything marked as letter rate does go through a sorting machine that is made for flat items only. It can smash a 3-dimensional items or cause the envelope to rip and force the item out. Parcel rate items even in envelopes will go through a different sorting process & are less likely to be damaged by machines.

If you ship an item that is more than 1/4 inch in thickness as letter rate rather than package rate, there is a good chance that your buyer will receive a package marked "postage due" and have to pay the balance for your shipping error. This has happened to me more this year than ever on eBay purchase from sellers who charge package rate ($2.60+) but ship the cheaper letter rate leaving me with a package that I have to pay the mail carrier to collect, so this is a rather sore subject for me.

Most buyers expect to pay at least $2.60 shipping for a pony or accessory, since that is what it costs to send that item. Typically charging $3.00-3.50 to cover the cost of an envelope is also an accepted standard. I don't think you will lose any sales by charging an appropriate shipping cost & shipping it the correct way so buyers don't receive items with postage due. :bigups:

Is Tornado's comb still available? I may be interested depending on the price you decide. :)

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: shipping to US address on ebay question?
« on: November 07, 2016, 05:51:24 AM »
I have a new question: a buyer from Korea won two of my auctions and wants me to send to US zip code for combining shipping. They use a US agent. This address is on ebay as the ship to address so I assume it will be the same in paypal once they have paid me. Has anyone else who sells through ebay done shipping like this? I notice many international buyers use a US box for cheaper shipping.

Yes, I agree with what everyone has already posted: this is totally fine & fairly common for buyers in a few Asian countries. I've shipped many times to forwarding locations/middleman services for Asian buyers, and it's always been a totally smooth transaction.

Ok, here it is... finally! Photobucket is so finicky, argh!

It took me awhile to track down all of these because they were either not correct or not clear on most accessory ID sites & books. Both sets have a pink back card or box insert so even MOC/MIB pictures distort the colors. All 8 of these have the larger, more spread out glitter.

Other combs for Princesses & UK fiber optic Sparkle have the smaller, finer glitter.
