Spring. I was born in spring, so I'm naturally drawn to it. Plus, I live in CA, so the weather is usually lovely.

I don't have any plans to go right now, but I may change my plans once I do my taxes...
Disney is about 6 hours away from me. ![]() 78

I live near both a haunted Chuck E. Cheese (in San Jose) and a haunted Toys R Us (in Sunnyvale.)
Info on the TRU: http://www.strangerdimensions.com/2016/07/03/haunted-toys-r-us-sunnyvale-california/ I'm also near the Winchester Mystery House, but I think the story about the haunted TRU is more interesting because people don't know about it. ![]() http://www.winchestermysteryhouse.com 80

I'd have to remove the peppers, but otherwise I'd try it.

Ken in the middle is Dream Glow Ken.
Barbie in the middle is Western Stampin Barbie (from the 90s) According to a google image search, the Kenner doll might be a Miss America doll? Those are the only ones I can name. Hope it helps. ![]() 82

Ugh. This is frustrating. I wanted Maryellen (and Melody,) but I was going to wait until at least April to buy her. I guess there's always eBay? 83

Lots of gray and rain, lately.
I'm a CA girl, through and through. I know we need the rain but, honestly, I'm not used to it. 84

They claim it is to stop it from getting lost but why sew on underwear? That is disappointing. These dolls are far too expensive for Mattel to start getting so cheap with them. 86
Off Topic / Re: Buying A Tablet. Advice?« on: January 30, 2017, 01:55:32 PM »I personally like Apple products. I have an iPad mini and an iPhone and love that they sync and I can have the same things on both of them easily. I also appreciate how easy to use apple products are. I second going into an Apple store and asking any questions that you have. The tech people are really friendly and knowledgable. I've gone in multiple times with questions before buying anything. Also, if you want an iPad product and can wait, the new ones are rumored for a March release. ![]() 87
Pony Corral / Re: What ponies would you love if not for one thing?« on: January 30, 2017, 01:51:14 PM »
Definitely Beddy-Bye eye ponies. Baby Ribbon (for example) would be such a cutie, if not for those eyes. I'll agree with that little Luna, too. Those eyes are just odd.
For my personal tastes, I'm going to include the 20th anniversary re-releases of the flat foots. I actually really liked them at first. Appreciated the color contrasts. Didn't mind the thin tails. But the fact that they can't stand up at all drives me nuts. Btw, I'll take all of your unwanted so softs. They're my favorites. ![]() 88
Pony Corral / Re: What's your friends' and family's opinion on pony collecting?« on: January 30, 2017, 01:45:43 PM »
My ponies live in my closet (space issues) and my family is generally unaware of it.
My mom and my eldest sister know I collect and will occasionally buy me ponies if they run across them secondhand. The rest of the family remains unaware. 89
Pony Corral / Re: Would you ship a Summer Wing pony in a padded envelope or a box?« on: January 30, 2017, 01:43:46 PM »
The couple of times I've shipped wingers, I've always shipped them in boxes and wrapped in bubble wrap. Just seemed safer that way.

*sigh* I'm not fond of the G4/5/reboot, either.
I was hoping to like them; I'd gotten so bored with G4. But, no, I'm not thrilled with the redesign. I'm happy that some people like them, but personally, I feel like they're... out of proportion? They just look odd to me and cheaply designed, to boot. I wish that Hasbro would do what others toy designers have done and release retro designs alongside their new designs. Strawberry Shortcake is doing a great job with that and I feel like both fans are covered. ![]() |
