Pony Corral / Re: Weird restoration methods I've overheard
« on: March 28, 2017, 09:40:06 PM »
Keep in mind that even if a method works and doesn't appear to cause damage, does NOT make it safe to use.

A cream called Removezit was considered a safe way to remove marks for *years* before the damage began to appear; ponies began to turn white or yellow on the spots where it was used, no matter how often and carefully they were cleaned afterward. It was used on many common, and even rare G1s, like the alt Birthflower pony I had who had white on half her face and her shoulder... personally, I wouldnt use any toothpaste with a whitening agent in it due to this kind of thing.

Remember, some chemicals never stop working, and could continue to work even through paint (like on a custom).  Depending on the kind of stuff you mix, you could poison yourself, too, so be careful!  You could melt the pony, too.

I finally caught a Lapras today at the grocery store, hope everyone else can find one!

Also, is anyone else spotting more Slowpokes than normal?  I had just one from an egg, but now they are showing up a few times a day, enough that I evolved my best one!

Hope I get a good evolution item tomorrow, now that we're guaranteed one every 7th day!

Perhaps one is made in China and one Hong Kong?  Some of the MO ponies from the same time frame came from both. You could try getting their feet wet and seeing if you can make out if there are 2 lines of text or 3 (i doubt youll be able to read the location)

The poor girl is pretty stained up, this is *after* cleaning her with a magic eraser and acetone both, but she'll be loved as she is. :)

I went to san francisco on amtrak, and I'm catching tons of things I don't have near me!(mostly water types), and yesterday, I got the evolution item Upgrade completely randomly!  It wasnt my 7th day or anything, I was actually waiting for a movie to start and watching my char run all ovwr the place.  It stoped by a pokestop, so I spun it, and thats what I got!

I caught my first totodile yesterday, and caught the evolved forms today, caught a Bayleaf, a misdreavius, merrill and azumerrill, and evolved some pokemon, too. :)

Porygon is my buddy till I can get the 16 more candies I need, hopefully while Im on this trip. :)

Pony Corral / Re: Structured or spontaneous when adding to your herd?
« on: March 10, 2017, 09:18:09 AM »
Kind of both? I go after Blue Belles, anything with her, but I'm pretty spontaneous about it; I check for them every couple of weeks and if I see one I want, I go for it, but I don't go after every Blue Belle and I don't really keep track of which ones I still need...which does mean I end up with doubles, but thats ok, haha, they can stay with me. :)

I would say a regular peachy with sun damage, too, or it could be just dirt and grime; I had a nasty looking firefly that turned near mint once I scrubbed the dirt off, haha!.  I think smoke damage can turn ponies that color, too.

First thing I would try is freezing her, picking out as much as tou can, and then combing her hair with, say, coconut oil on the comb?

That's good to know, thank you. :)

Also, check with your phone provider, haha, some of them are offering special data programs that don't count playing  pokemon go against your data limits.

Pony Corral / Re: My pony collection or my spouse (serious advice)
« on: February 26, 2017, 02:02:29 PM »
Ok, Im going to point something out that it seems no one else has mentioned:

If he is putting so much into savings that it is effecting whether or not you can afford groceries, a financial counselor is something to seriously think about. Saving money is a good idea, but saving money for later at the expense of things you *need* is concerning.

I would suggest you both sit down and decide on a set amount of money to put into savings, and a set amount of money for each of you to use for 'fun money' or non essentials (this would be movie or concert tickets, junk food, alcohol if you drink, your ponies, etc.)

Lieing about spending money is never good, but you also shouldn't have to ask permission to make a small purchase; the two of you need to find a balance.  Ideally, your money would be shared evenly between you; I don't mean you pay your half the rent and he pays his, I mean together, the two of you could pay your rent out of a join account you both put money into for the basics: rent, food, phone bills, etc.

I completely understand wanting to keep at least some money seperate, but it seems almost like the two of you are room mates instead of spouses.

I think the most common new ones around me are Houndour, Snubbull, Sentret, and Spinarak.  I also see a lot of Hoothoot and sudowodo, too. :)

And as soon as I get the right evolution item, I can evolve Sunkern!
