Trading has evolved, and a lot of that is because of increased postage costs and the fact that right now, communication is limited worldwide.  Pandemic issues have made it very difficult to get things shipped, times are not reliable and many people are focusing more on necessities than luxuries.  I hope we can get back to the fun of trading and bringing the community back to life; however those other groups have taken so many people because they feel it's "easier" for them, despite the fact you really don't know who you are dealing with (if they are honestly collectors or resellers trying to get better prices, etc).

For me, I'm just not here as much as I'd like to be.  Work and other obligations have cut into my pony time, and I need to focus on changing that.

So just a suggestion, but maybe add "on the fence" for an option?  There are some ponies that while I can't say I love them, I also can't say I hate them.  It would be nice to have that "maybe" option, just for some extra fun.

I never really got into the G2s, but I did have a ton of them.  I picked them up MIB, just because they were ponies and they were fairly cheap at the time.  I've since sold them, due to lack of space.  A couple of them I might consider getting again, as they do have some appeal.  I like the sets with all the little pieces, and the babies with costumes were cute, too.  Wingsong is sorta cute, so I'd be on the fence about wanting her.

I have my custom Rapunzel now, and she needs to have her hair accessories!  I would like to get a variety of the I Luv You barrettes for a hair style idea, and I also would like to get some of the pretty ups.  I would be interested in any, although I think the Seashore set would be my first preference.  I would look at loose or MIB. 

Any help I can get would be appreciated!  She is ready for her special display space, and I'd love to get her hair all prettied up, too!

That is so sad!  I don't have all the ponies, admittedly, but she would have been so pretty to add to the ones I do have.  That is especially sad to know the factory should have seen these issues before shipping and decided to ship anyway.

Quality control for ponies has been suspect for a long time, and this does not work to instill more confidence for future endeavors. 

I will still sell and ship globally, but I have to let the buyer know all these "hidden" fees.  I will ship things as a gift...hey, it is a gift to find someone willing to ship internationally in this day and age!  Yes, technically it's fraud...but it's also fraud to charge taxes on used items, that have already been taxed.  That is a scam that shouldn't be allowed, so I'm just trying to balance things out a bit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm also not selling thousands of dollars worth of stuff.  And the buyer can say no, and prefer to pay the taxes for larger purchases.  That is fine, if they are good with it.  Being in the community, I've always seen things are being helpful to other collectors, more than trying to buy a summer home.  Yes, I sell for a reasonable amount when I have more expensive ponies or items.  I'd rather deal with someone here, though, than eBay and have fee on top of fee on top of fee...

Maybe the more we help each other out, the easier it will be to rebuild our little section of the collector world.

If things don't sell at the inflated prices, the prices will drop.  Part of the reason I prefer auctions to buy it now...too many people price BIN items wayyyyy too high, in the hopes someone will be desperate.  When I sell, I like auctions, so things sell for what the market is currently supporting.
