Yes! When I was a kid my friend had a brown Snuzzle and I was convinced it was a fake!! Only now have I seen they just come from other countries and look a bit different! I'm sure the piggy ponies would have fooled me too! I keep my own records of prices ponies are sold for on ebay. Not all of them- just ones that interest me. The variations in price can be quite large. It's quite interesting to do this- well, to me anyway!!!

Completely agree- especially eyelash princesses- eek! I'd add Rapunzel too- i just don't get why she's so popular- i don't think her colour combination is particularly attractive.

Yes, I collect like this too! I just want to spend my money on the ponies I really love the design of. I'm not about quantity! But I'm still interested to see everyone else's collections!!
My current favourites in my collection are SS Fifi & Scrumptious, Moon Jumper, Whirly, Strawberry Fair (Sugarberry), and Ringlets. Though my favourites change fairly often!!

cute factoid. 2nd edition cards do state: "pony is surface washable" so I am guessing customer feedback led to that change.
That makes sense- I was wondering what the reason for the change was. Good to know that they're better for washing. Thanks everyone for your feedback. It's good to know there are some better quality final set SS's out there! They're such a gorgeous set- I'm especially looking forward to getting Angel one day!

I think I read somewhere that the final set of G1 so-softs that were released had a thinner type of flocking than the earlier sets. Is this the case?
What are people's experiences in the quality differences between the earlier release SS's and this last set? It seems to be very difficult to find excellent quality Twilight's, Crumpet's, Taffy's etc, so I wondered if the flocking-type in general doesn't age as well as the original type?
I realise this last set will be more difficult to find in general anyway.
I'd just really love to see some of this set in minty condition!!
