Cadance and Shining look lovely. Cadance is a must have for me. Spike on the other hand has a serious hamster face and dead fish eyes like many of his figures do. Not a fan.

Oh no :(
I was hoping minty would be g1, not g3...

In the other picture Minty is G1 I think there are some sets we haven't sen yet Firefly, Cotton Candy, etc.

I am doubtful they are putting out two mintys. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it

Are we also certain that one pony is Cotton Candy?  Cause I suspect it is Pinkie Pie.

Well, we have pictures of both G1 and G3 Minty. So i guess so?
And in that case it would have to be G3 Pinkie Pie, considering she has a light pink mane. Also, G4 Pinkie Pie is being sold with the castle playset.

I'm pretty amused this line aimed at toddlers is currently interesting me more than the brushable line-up.

I think this is a world wide problem honestly

Considering how far behind we are and how little we get, i wouldn't call it a worldwide problem.
I see people complain here about stuff that never even gets released over here. XP

i understand that as adults we get frustrated with the constant re-releases of the mane six ponies,
but this weekend, my niece who love all things ponies said something that surprised me.

she's one of the few people i know that really only wants merchandise or toys with the mane six, and a few other characters here or there. what i didn't realize is that she's only interested in them if they are in the show, and have names.
i was wondering why she didn't like muffin pony or minty when they came out, and didn't care if she got them or not.
when i asked her if she wanted this new set that's coming out, cuz i know she likes charms and the elements of harmony like things, she asked me if they were in the show, and what happens that they get cutie marks all over.
after telling her i didn't know, she told me she wasn't interested in them.
i was surprised. i guess i underestimated how much pull the show has on what she'll own. (she sometimes will accept the comic as fact too.)

i don't know how many other kids are like this, but i know when i was little i did like lickety split (baby) cuz she was in the movie. same with applejack and firefly. but i still wanted any pony i could get my hands on too. so maybe their marketing isn't a total miss, just not what we want it to be.
This was me as a child. If the toy wasn't of a character from whatever show or movie I was interested in at the time, then I didn't want it. I liked playing with the characters I was already familiar with and fond of.

I didn't like MLP as a kid, but even collecting them now, I only got into them because of FIM, and mostly only collect the show characters I like, or pretty backgrounders.

There have been very few things I've collected as either a child or an adult where there wasn't an associated media that got me interested in the toys/merchandise in the first place.

I think it all depends on the person. I never owned a single G1 pony that appeared on the show. I loved my own ponies just as much and liked to create my own stories that had nothing to do with the show or movies. G2 also did well over here and never even had a show.
I can't help but feel that in some cases the show limits their imagination rather than expands it.

From reading EQD it seems these sets will only be released in "selected countries".

"Some of you might be interested in the other teaser from the ITF booth as well. There will be in selected countries (no details yet) more show-accurate playsets "

Well, that means they won't show up here for sure. Good going Hasbrooooo.

Pony Corral / Re: We Love Fine "Flutterbat" Vinyl Figure Pre-Purchase

Wow, the original sculpture was WAAAAAY cuter.  I do NOT like what WLF did with it, which is too bad, because normally I do love everything Fluttershy...  I disagree that Flutterbat in the cartoon was not cute- maybe in some shots. Mostly she was cute.

I definitely will not be buying an ugly Flutterbat.

I don't see how the figure is so much more "ugly" than some of the actual Flutterbat scenes. She was supposed to be kinda scary, not some cutesy vampire. The slightly creepy atmosphere is probably the best part of the episode aside from Flutterbat herself. Than again, i actually like vampires.

Eh, i like her. It's not as if Flutterbat was supposed to look cute on the show. So not sure why people think she looks too creepy.
I love flutterbat so i'm happy we are getting some official merchandise. I doubt Hasbro is going to release her and Funko takes AGES to release anything over here. (Still miffed that after waiting a long time for Twilight to get released here, Funko gave me one with eyelashes sprouting out of her eyeballs.) Not to mention i prefer this pose over the static pose of Funko.
I will definitely buy her if she gets released on Archonia.

It's not Flutterbat in general its the horrible execution of the figure the pose is just awful and awkward. It's cool that they are making Flutterbat stuff, but they could have done much better something is so off about her face. The Cutie mark is about the only thing that looks good, her mane is way too short and inaccurate and have no clue what's going on with that tail. $28 for that lame figure no thanks.

I don't think the pose is awful and i'm not obsessed by show accuracy. I just think it's a neat stylized figure and so far the only flutterbat figure we have. I like the fact they actually made it in the first place since again, Hasbro isn't going to do it. The whole "they could have done better" logic can be used on pretty much every pony product these days. Including Funko.

Same story here in Belgium. No new releases and no interesting things in general. I can't afford importing everything so this is getting seriously dissapointing. I feel like i'm back during G3.5 when there was hardly a point in visiting toy stores.
I will be so happy when those ugly tinsel ponies will finally be gone. I also wish we would get some more plushes.

Isn't that G4 Flower Wishes' EXACT cutie mark?  Sigh...

I really wish the designers would at least try to care.
Sadly yes XD the only difference is the black eyelining....another reason why I'm partially "bleh" on Lavender Honey. ...I know in the show they're just copping out on giving background ponies the same exact cutie marks, but I want some effort to be made on the toys :/ brushable ponies mind you...

And that's why i wish they cared less about the show and let some of these characters be designed by actual toy designers. Using copy/paste ponies that are only used to fill up the background of a cartoon is pretty stupid...The extra markings really are the only thing that makes this pony special.

For those wondering. She's based off this Pony.

WHYYYY COULDN'T THEY JUST MAKE HER LIKE THIS?!

BECAUse it's HASbro! (?)

But I will get her... and acetone her too XD
Because she would look pretty boring and generic. XP like most background ponies. Love this version of her though.

Can you imagine if we got Holly Dash in this style? With cute little strawberries and strawberry flowers?

Would love that. Seriously, i'm surprised so many people are hating on them.
Some of the G3 art ponies were FAR tackier than these and if Lotus would look "normal" she would just be another blue-ish pony with pink-ish hair. We got several of those already. If a pony like that got released this late in the G3 line people would complain how boring she looked.
