It was my first day back volunteering today and of course, the customers were just the worst. I've been struggling with anxiety for the past few days (despite making conscious efforts to get it under control) and I really didn't need to be dealing with loud, entitled, rude, obnoxious people today.

My aunt and uncle, who were both suffering from Covid-19 and unable to get proper treatment, are now doing much better! I’m so relieved, I could dance. Both of them were older, at-risk individuals, and my aunt is a cancer survivor... I’m just so glad they’re recovering well.

They are indeed, I've had to set myself a task to front up to them and hope for the best... also hoping for plenty of incendiary grenades to hurl at them!

And the thing that made me smile today was that the mint plant has multiplied. There are tiny shoots coming up around the main plant and they are just *so adorable*!

A couple of things made me smile today. The main one was making a roast vegetable risotto for the first time; it turned out really nice and it's motivated me to try out some more variations (pea and mint risotto is next on the list of things to try!) The other thing that made me happy today was making progress with Resident Evil 4, as I'd been putting off finishing the castle section for far too long. It is done now. I feel accomplished and will continue to do so until I have to deal with the regeneradores.

They're very cute, but I haven't got them yet.

I dreamed that the sock puppet I made when I was 13 came to life! He was dancing around, having a good time when my friend said "Hey, I hope you're not letting him make TikToks" and I was like "No, he's a good boy. He'd never- Oh god he's actually making TikToks isn't he"

And now some twisted part of me wants to recreate the puppet to try to turn him into a TikTok star.

I don't even use TikTok.

The weird dream I had last night started out with making a podcast about foxes, where most of the material was cut because everyone involved was swearing too much. After that, we all turned our attention to trying to fend off some kind of horrendous monster with a barricade of office chairs. No idea what brought that on.

I am maybe a bit too excited about it, but to be fair, it is one of my favourite pieces of music from one of my all-time favourite games.

I'll pass. At risk of sounding like a broken record, I just really can't get on board with pink ponies with yellow hair. The turqouise shell and purple accessories are nice, though.

My pen has run out and I don't have any refills for it, so I won't be able to take down any notes by hand until my next trip out to Sainsbury's, which won't be until the middle of next week. Having looked online for refills, it would actually be cheaper for me to just buy another pen altogether, which is absurd.
