We had a bbq at New Farm Park- beautiful :)  A group of Iranian refugees from our church cooked the snags!  they have amazing food.  I had to leave early, but everyone else played cricket (hopefully the ball didn't go in the river this year!)   Was such a beautiful day for it too.

I find that anything I  have to sell locally is the biggest pain ever.
Doesn't even matter if it's uncommon, if someone has to drive to my house and pay me in cash, I swear it's such a nightmare...

Aw, that sucks.  Don't many people in your area have paypal?  Selling locally is really hit-and-miss.

I've always had trouble selling the later years ponies-- the Sundazzle set, Birthday Pony and the fibre-optic-crown Princess Sparkle.  Maybe everyone wants the classic characters early in G1.  Oddly though, they seem to be popular overseas.  It always seems like I have 500 Bride Ponys to sell.  Oh- and ballerinas.  No one wants them!

You know it's absolutely any season in west Norway when it's 5-10 degrees and raining  :pout:

You know it's summer in Queensland when the watermelon crops boil in the fields!

Heard about that yesterday-- our poor old farmers!  At least we've been getting lots of rain

Awesome!! I love hearing these stories, especially when they go to nice/deserving/in need recipients, heartwarming!  Lovely uses for it too!  Hope you get to have a little holiday or a new pony to treat yourself :)

So at the moment, everyone (possibly with the exception of the equator and the poles) is in the middle of either Summer or Winter right now.  What's it like?  Is your winter cold enough to freeze Smaug?  Is your summer a permanent heat wave?  Wherever you are in the world, whatever crazy adjustments you're making in your life to adjust to the weather, we want to hear about it!

Fill in the blanks of the phrase, then feel free to elaborate/tell us more about it!

I'll start.
You know it's summer in Queensland when everyone has 100% cold showers!

Usually 'take a cold shower' has another meaning.  But not during a Brisbane summer!  Makes a decent substitute for going to the beach-- just let it run for a while because the first 30 seconds of water will be hot from the pipes

I can't believe I never noticed Baby Berrytown being in a completely different pose.  How did I do that?  Nice spots with the head swap and baby mane swap!!

MLP Nirvana / Re: CP Sundance Catalogue Photo
« on: January 10, 2017, 02:26:21 AM »
This is so exciting!  This proves that at some point an actual physical hasbro-made CP Sundance definitely existed, 100% genuine.  I don't think that the fall of her hair indicates the pony in the catalogue is different than Ember's-- collectors love to groom and style their ponies and the photo is low-res and she's obscured by the playset.

i think since CP Sundance was first brought into the community (bought by Ember) it's been established beyond reasonable doubt that she is genuine and not a custom.  In Ember's thread a number of very experienced collectors went to inspect the pony in person and unanimously agreed that in their opinions she was genuine.  I'm inclined to go with their expertise.

I know the theories and what-ifs will continue to circulate, but certainly to me the evidence overwhelmingly points to Sundance being the real deal.

Just an addendum as well...  [edit for backseat modding, this is an open discussion. The mods will make sure it stays on track :) love pkw xxx] Sundance's authenticity, as it has already been discussed very thoroughly and is probably a bit depressing for Ember.  Instead maybe go check out the original thread where it's been discussed at length, it's a great read to refresh your memory or if she's new to you!

Thanks for sharing the photo Ember!   :grouphug:

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: Sylvanian Families ID

Wow, so happy to find this thread!  I've just started getting into Sylvanian families late last year (still so weird it's 2017) after discovering them while present-shopping for my niece.  My best friend in primary school used to have some, I'd go over to play with ponies but we always ended up playing with her sylvanians instead :)  I want to have a small collection (not the way I collect ponies!), just a few to sit on my dresser and look adorable :)

Has anyone ventured as far as to look at playsets?  I've been poring over online pics of them, but they're not as fun as pony playsets to me... the houses are so adorable and detailed, but they're all in brown and cream and grey.  I mean, we need purple windows, and pink floors, and colours...

Wow, i honestly don't know!  I think it will be a case of 'see it, fall in love with it'.

I am pretty keen on UK backcards, mint upgrades, and if my bank balance allows it, finishing my Alt Birthflowers set!
