It's so fun to hear everyone's stories! Starstrider, that sounds like a dream come true, I love the TAF babies.
My best finds are probably the Baby Milkyway I got on ebay for $15, the mint condition SS Paradise I found at the thrift store for $3, seriously her flocking is perfect and she is sooo white. I got a playset lot on kijiji (like craigslist) that had the nursery, show stable, pretty parlor, waterfall, all their accessories plus Dream Castle's accessories plus about 30 ponies. Back like 15 years ago I got a moc Argie for $20 or so. I've had some other nice finds at the thrift store like Merry Go Round Sparkler, Star Glow and I can't think of who else off the top of my head... oh I found a Greek Peachy for $3. In general I've had pretty good luck finding ponies in the wild but nothing crazy rare.

Hard choice but I think I have to go with Nightglider. I love her color scheme and I love her space theme. I have Yum Yum and Bonnie Bonnets from this set.

I have Dasher and Spellbound and Lovebound, they're really nicely made. I also have a sea pony shell on the way which I'm super excited for! And I just ordered 3 more that I've had my eye on, thanks for the reminder.
I agree, I think they need to get the word out more/advertise more. I think a thread showing off our HQG1C's is a great idea! I will take photos of mine this week.

Would you Canadian folks like some of the 2nd set rainbows to be picked up? I think they're starting to warm the shelves over where I am. It's sad to hear no one is stocking them.
Are the Earth ponies easy to find still? I still need Applejack and co. I got the rainbows from US Amazon but thank you so much for offering. I know we all really appreciate it when we can't get things here.

As there is still no sign of them in Canada or on the Canadian Amazon I thought I’d order them from Target. Shipping was going to be $100 so I cancelled my order  I’m really starting to think I won’t be able to get them. My local Toys R Us has almost nothing MLP anymore and Walmart got rid of ponies years ago.
I cancelled my Target order too before checking out. Way too expensive. I keep checking the toys r us website but no luck. Every time I check my store they only get collector pose or the 1st set of rainbows. They do seem to be selling well and getting restocked though so hopefully at one point they'll move on to the next wave. I think I got the uni/peg set from US Amazon. Still more expensive but shipping was more reasonable. Maybe that's an option for you? Just watch their prices for when they go down. I'd offer to pick some up from Discovery Hut for you but they were more expensive there too.

Question: Are they planning to continue the “retro” CB plush line that started with Cheer and Share? I haven’t seen any new ones, but I really hope they make more.

I had it as a child but sadly my mom threw it out. After hunting for it locally for years I found a guy with a toy booth at Comic Con last year and he asked if there was any other items I was looking for and I said a Dream Castle jokingly and he said he had one at home but didn't bring it! So I picked it up from his house a couple weeks later! Super happy to have it again! It's living on my sewing table right now since my shelves are all full. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

What’s been happening with Care Bears recently?? Is there a currently running show? I was walking through the toy aisle earlier and picked up an adorable 8 inch True Heart plushie, they also had older characters like Love-a-Lot and Birthday who I didn’t expect to see, but I love them. Trying to do some googling now to see if I can pick up all 10 original characters but the assortment listings are not giving me much joy, lots of pictures of new bears but no names!
Are these new bears? I'd love to see photos!
They seem like new style beanie plush toys. They’re small, super soft and squishy, and have a piece of felt for the tuft on their head, instead of hair strands. I think I finally figured out the assortment... wave 1 seems to be True Heart, Birthday, Daydream, Share, Cheer and Shine Bright. Wave two seems to be Love-a-Lot, Funshine, Bedtime, Sweet Dreams, Best Friend and Cheer (again).
They're super cute! Thanks for sharing, I'll have to keep an eye out

Thanks Taffeta, I remember reading that their assortment was missing the unicorns. Just found it odd that there was a Pinwheel and not Starflower. I will definitely be checking back. Unfortunately that is not my favorite mall to go to, crazy busy all the time and even worse with the holiday shopping rush. I should have paid more attention to how many of each character they had, I only remember for sure there was another Confetti. I had to dig through quite the stack of ponies, they had the collector pose, 1st and 2nd rainbows and the uni/peg set. They checked the back for me also and had another box of the uni/pegs. I’m glad you were able to find them! I’ve never heard of Discovery Hut and I’m pretty sure there are none on PEI. But it’d be a lot easier to get them shipped within Canada versus imported from another country.
I checked online and it looks like there is only one Discovery Hut, it's a local specialty toy store. They're also the only store that I've ever found the Basic Fun Strawberry Shortcake (only SSC, no other characters). Hopefully some other stores get the rest of these. I check the TRU website almost daily and they keep restocking the first 2 sets and nothing new.

Finally some news for these in Canada but I don't know if anywhere else has this store. I found the 2nd set of Rainbows and the Uni/Peg set at Discovery Hut in Calgary yesterday. They were $18 each so over priced but I got the 2nd set of Rainbows anyway since I haven't been able to find them anywhere else. With the exchange rate and shipping, I'd be paying that much anyway to import them. Only missing Starflower, someone must have beat me to her.

Edited because I thought Amazon sent me the wrong one but turns out my Toys R Us order got split in half and they shipped the 2 separately so I got confused. Anyway, I should have 3 out of 6 puppies when that package arrives. They are already sold out on the Toys R Us website so I hope that means they'll order more and get them all in. I only saw 3 in store and 2 online. I'll post a photo once the other one arrives.
