I have a few restored common baits (Blossom, Bowtie, Posey, etc..), they're marked and stored in a separate drawer and I find them useful as they're great for pony wear or whenever I want to display a pony in a sunny area without worrying too much about causing them to fade since my original collection is kept away in an oxygen chamber (i.e. my windowless collection room). I certainly agree with all the previously mentioned points though and I'd definitely be furious if I buy what appears to be an original pony only to discover that it's been taken apart or rehaired, those things has to be clearly disclosed and sold as such.

I've had great luck with all sorts of accessories except stickers, too many flat and UK stickers to find  -_-

If you don't mind experimenting then you can apply peroxide paste on the marks and use sun light or UV lamp to lighten them up, cover the rest of her or at least make sure the symbols and blush are protected as those can easily fade. I wouldn't recommend this on harder to find ponies as it's difficult to predict the outcome.

That's a really beautiful Mirror Mirror with great symbols and factory hair and the sea pony looks in great shape too, congrats!

My first childhood ponies were the Bright Bouquet family and Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe.

As an adult it was Firefly, Twilight, Moondancer, Glory, and the Dream Castle.

Such a pretty and cheerful display, I could stare at it all day
You did a wonderful job Valerie, congrats!

I used to overlook them till I saw a pretty photo on flickr of Strawberry Surprise and Blueberry Baskets together, bought them a couple of years ago and recently added Cranberry Muffin and Boysenberry Pie. Here's all four with a postcard of their backcard:

My vote goes to Strawberry Surprise, I love her symbols

One of my favourites and yours looks like it's in great shape too!

I agree with buddyboymama, I'd match colours from the playset itself to keep it true to its original color scheme.

I think mine is the same and I guess discoloured as you can notice the light blotches on this one:

I can safely say I'm qualified to open a G1 Ribbon Museum at this point! Took me a decade and a fortune to hunt down each pony's original ribbon and I noticed that some MOCs of the same pony came with two different shades or even two entirely different colours - for example Bubbles with ribbons that range from yellow to green, Moondancer and Applejack with either white or aqua, Cherrytreats with either pink or yellow, etc...

In most cases shinier ribbons belong to later sets but there are some exceptions, my boxed Pretty Parlour came with shiny yellow and green ribbons and some of the year 3 Earth/Unicorn/Pegasus sets weren't as matt as some of those from year 2 so the yellow ribbon could belong to an earlier pony.

Ah that's very interesting! I bought a couple of loose ones from a French person and they all had brown eyeliner so I guess this was a batch thing after all. I was also wondering about this NSS Truly because of her eyes:

I guess it's possible the 1987 MLP Friends set may have had early batches with black eyeliner as well.

Many of them were beautifully done and this was my favourite:
