Quick update on Barnacle. Well my first attempt backfired so badly that i was ready to simply toss it and start from scratch. The Fimo I was using must have been bad or something because it cracked and chipped and flat out fell off the pony. Luckily the head was fine and I had another body from a project I only used the head on! So after trying a new method the pony only has one more sculpt to go through to finish him off. I used Miliput this time. Once he is sanded I'll paint him up and there we go!

His hat is coming along great, though I made a tri-corner by accident. Should I re-do it or will tri-corner work? I'm running to Joanne's tomorrow to find fabric for a bandana. I wonder if I can find a close match?

I live in the US and can get all of those things (well not the bee parts) from the store around the corner. Good thing is I am making a trip to the UK for Christmas so may be able to bring you a few things. You would have to buy them and I can act as courier if you like. PM me if your interested.

Oh, don't worry too much. The paint was too thin. there are a couple things you can do. The 100% acetone does help a great deal. I find that using a hair dryer on the first couple coats helps a great deal. You can also take a make up sponge and wipe a thin layer of the paint over the pony. That should fix the problem :)

I feel slow. I haven't started Barnicle yet! I have all the supplies, just haven't had the time yet. I had to get some commissions finished. Now that that is all done I can get to work.

So for some reason I have been into Sea Ponies as of late. I blame it on Eskara! Anyway I got ahold of a sea pony baby and gave her a new look. She had some serious internal mold issues and suffered from a pink highlighter. After a FBR in white she got her details added. The silver spiderweb stands out nicely. Swarovsky Crystals dot the edges of the spider web. She is finished with a pearled finish and instead of a seashell stand has a Jack-O-Lantern. She has two spider friends to hang out with as well. Enjoy Boo-Yah! I will try to get pics of her later.
