Yea there was a ton of talk about the missmatched heads already when the g4 ponies came out 5 years ago. Part of it is because head and body are different plastics.

If kids weren't into collecting, Pokémon would never have taken of like it did.
I as a kid loved new ponies, it didnt matter if they were in the show or not (it did make it sweeter if they were though), I wanted every new pony I could get my hands on.
Humans are natural born collectors so don't look down on kids when the only thing separating them from us adults is money.

I think you should leave the ones with original hair be, it's not hard at all to fix up nylon hair to become beautiful again. For the ones that are already rehaired, go for it.

They are genuine. I have yet to see fakies of g4s in that good quality. If she is missing the cutiemark she either had it rubbed off with acetone or she was never printed in the first place, and if the second is true then she is either a reject someone bought on taobao or she is one of those ponies which accidentally gets through the quality control.

Taobaos ponies are a bit of everything, some are fakies and some are real ponies that have been rejected in quality controls, some are test subjects.
Yes, I have ordered from taobao before, often you have to expect some sort of flaw with the ponies you order since most are rejects but otherwise they are good.

I too recognise your dilema a bit, granted I still live with my family and only have one room so its quite packed no matter what. I love to see my collection but at the same time it feels imprisoning when it grows too large and take up all the space... The collection might mean a lot to me but its not everything to me. So what I did to get away from my collection and get some space and air was to get Billy book cases with glass doors, the current model has a board behind the glas so I dont need to see the collection. Granted a few things I have are too big to be stored in them but it do not feel as over powering as before.

I sometimes use the packaging for storage! They are great to use when you got a lot of bags of accessoirs. I also stack them for my dolls to stand on, so they are displayed nicely. I just cant afford any fancy mini shelves to use for my collections.

When I got the Rarity plushie from Build a Bear, I had the voice box put in because I figured I might as well go all out since she's the only one I'd be getting. Sometimes when you squeeze it it does nothing. But hours later, usually in the middle of the night, she'll start spewing off random phrases all on her own. It really freaked me out the first time it happned! 
Lol my big white Celestia was like that, all of a sudden it would wake me up spewing "Let's fly to the castle!" Totally creepy so I had to take out her batteries and since then she has been quiet. I have a lot of ponies that I have gotten second hand but none has felt like there was anything off with them...on the other hand I have a mini tiger plush that I just cant stand having near me...It feels as if it is looking at me. Kinda odd that the bothers me when I have had a whole room filled with ponies staring out blankly at me and I have felt nothing.

Awesome topic idea! I have no haunted ponies (thankfully) but I have plenty of other tales of the weird that isnt related to ponies.
But I did have something odd happen once that was related to the mlps...
Once I found a scissor open to it's maximum put on one of the shelves that my ponies was sitting on, as if threatening them that they would be cut if they did something... It was really odd because I dont want to keep any scissor near my ponies or dolls in case there would be an accident and everybody in my family swore they had not touched the scissor, much less would put it that way. And I believe them, my family rarely would venture into my room, and they know how upset I can become if they mess with my belongings.
So, who threatened my ponies? Who moved the scissor to the shelf? I will probably never know.

I sadly just discovered that the new EG Sunset Shimmers pants are made of a reaaaally sensitive fabric, I accidentally got them caught in the velcro of a skirt when I was redressing her... Now her pants are all noppy and ugly looking! I have to find a pair of replacement pants but noone is selling a pair T.T
Dont let this happen to you! Keep the pants away from velcro!
