I'm in Northeast Indiana, reeeeaaaallll close to the border. Would I be welcome? c: Nothing ever happens here.

Where are you at?  I'm from Wabash, went to college in Michigan.  I like the midwest soooo much better than Virginia!  Better weather and the people are nicer!

I don't know much about this product but its really frustrating when you entire show stable is white except one door.  I tried all sorts of things to whiten my door so...since none of those worked I may try to find this product. Thanks for posting about it.

The doors are small enough that this method might work for you too:

Scroll down a bit to the "yellowing" sections.  Don't soak parts with stickers.

Hope that helps!  :)

Unrelated note; I love your website!
It's gonna be updated soon, right? Why didn't it get updated for a while?

Thanks!  That's so nice of you!  I work on it when I have time and life gets in the way a lot.  I expect it to be a couple of years before I'm finished posting the progress on fixing up my own collection.  I don't know when you looked at it last, but I completely revamped it recently and fixed some of it's problems.  I'm also putting the dates and descriptions of updates on the home page now.  I just finished some on the 27th.  Thanks again for the compliments!!!  :)

Pony Corral / What Have You Lost Over the Years?
« on: February 01, 2012, 05:14:48 AM »
These things drive me nuts:

Ember's Dream Cassette
G2 Computer Game
4 front doors for the Show Stable

Seriously, where could they go?  They HAVE to be floating around my mom's house somewhere!!!

What has mysteriously disappeared from your collection over the years?

p.s. If anyone has the show stable doors for sale or trade, PM me!!!  :)

I've never tried it on playsets but have seen examples of where it works well. Just be careful with the stuff, wear gloves and have good ventilation - it releases oxygen as it works, so no naked flames! Also, make sure the bottle is done up tight when your'e not using it as if its left open the peroxide de pressurises and it basically turns into water (don't try drinking it though! lol)

Jem :)

Wow, that's some useful info!  I'll add that to my website, if you don't mind.

Yeah, this is the creme with the hydrogen peroxide in it.  I'm just not sure what the difference is between the 40 and the 50.   :(

Ok, it's not quite that dramatic, but I need a bit of advice.

]From everything I've read people are using
Salon Care 50 Volume Creme Developer to whiten playsets.
http://www.mlppreservationproject.com/misc.html#Playsets

but all I can find online is
Salon Care 40 Volume Creme Developer

http://www.amazon.com/Salon-Care-Creme-Developer-oz/dp/B004FVROT0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328055063&sr=8-1

Is there a difference?  Will the 40 work?  I've got a yellow Show Stable and Waterfall that I'm DYING to whiten and I don't want to spend the money on something that won't work.

Thanks!

I live in the UP (folks always ignore us for some reason), so I'm assuming I will not be able to make it. :(

I love the UP!!!  You guys are a ways up there though.  I think it was like a 5 hour drive when we went camping there in college.  I don't remember the exact location, but super pretty!

Pony Brag Arena / Celebrating the End of My Birthday Week
« on: January 30, 2012, 05:37:22 PM »
Happy Birthday! Moving this to brags for you :) OL1

Stephen has classes every Monday and doesn't get home till late.  I usually treat myself to some one on one time with the dogs and an episode of The Bachelor.  (Side note, The Bachelor is usually creepy, but this season seems to be exceptionally so.)

This Monday is special.  This Monday marks the end of my Birthday Week.  That's right, I claim the entire week.  My birthday was Thursday, I'm off on Sundays and Mondays, which is why I count tonight as the end of my birthday week.

Tonight I'll do something extra special.  I'll open my packages, mark off my new pony stuff in my collectors inventory, and eat the best cake available on earth.

I already know what's in the packages, I opened them on my actual birthday.  I re-wrapped the gifts so they could sit on the dining room table and look pretty as long as possible.

The cake.  So good I only let myself have it once per year for my birthday.

Closer shot of the flowers Stephen brought me.  I love them so much I just had to take one.

My latest foster dog, Sam.  He just had to have his picture taken, it was just killing him.  I think he was actually attracted by the smell of the cake.  Can you believe no adopters have asked to meet this cutie?

Now, before I actually post the photo of what was in the packages, let me just say, yes I am spoiled, but not as spoiled as you may think.  These were bought with both Christmas money and birthday money from my mom and grandparents.  Plus, I got them for REALLY good prices.  So good in fact feel free to send me a price check because I can't believe what I paid for a couple of these.

Soooooo PRETTY!!!  I never thought I'd get a Red Roses.  Plus, several of these came with ACCESSORIES!!!  I love accessories, sometimes even more than ponies.  I've been dying to find a pony sized set of garden furniture too!

Thanks so much Hubby and Mummy and Grandma and Grandpa!!!  I love you guys a ton!

 :)

Yay!!!  I'll plan our trip home for that week, if I can!  We'll even stay an extra day!  We usually drive home on Saturday!  I sooo hope this works out!  :)  My husband is limited as to when he can take days off because of the nature of his work.  I'll let you know which weeks look likely for him to get the ok!

Pony Corral / Re: The Frog Brush queston
« on: January 29, 2012, 07:13:56 PM »
about a year ago I got a jar full acessories from the MD pony meet, now I've matched up most of these bits and peaces but one thing has me stumped

a mint colored frog brush, now I was told by one collector that it was UK Mountain Boy Ice crystal's brush but with more resarch I have found that BB Steamer, also came with the same brush...

so how could one tell where this brush goes and dose it really matter as far as it's price?

That collector was me!!!  Ask Jewel.  I swear I remember her saying that it was Ice Crystal's brush.  She'll know for sure which one it is!  :)
