Here are my actual childhood ponies (minus the pegasus and unicorns my parents threw away because they were "mystical"...don't ask

). I am so lucky to have these and they mean more to me than anything else in my collection.

WOW! I think this is my fave custom of yours and it isn't even done yet.

Seriously though, so lovely and unique. The soft pastels along with the lacy design is just gorgeous. I can't wait to see her finished. Great work!

It might help if you can remember how you received the customs. Did you get them in specific swaps? The archived Arena posts can still be searched via Google. Maybe entering the "swap name" and "your name" and "My Little Pony" would give a search result. That is what I did with Uhura and Dot. Good luck, sweetie!

I totally understand, Mana. I look at my first customs and am just so embarrassed. I try to tell myself that it shows just how much I have improved and I should be proud of that, but I'm still a little meh.

It is amazing how much you have improved in such a short period of time. It is most evident to me in your eye work. The old design looked nice, but wasn't really anything special (please don't take offense at that).

Your newer eye style though is one of the most unique and interesting in the customizing community. I am always immediately drawn to the eyes on your customs and they always impress.

I can really notice improvement on your hairstyles as well. You do such interesting hairstyles, as far as unique haircuts and getting hair to lay in really different and exciting ways. And I love the Shark hair blend.

Really neat post! Great work!

Maybe you could try mixing an acrylic paint with a Floating Medium. It is a clear gel product that you mix with paint to make it "float". It essentially thins the paint in color, rather than in viscosity (like water would). Does that make sense? I use a product made by Folk Art and it comes in a 2 oz. bottle just like other craft acrylics (it is found in the same section at Michael's/Hobby Lobby). Good luck!
