Still awesome! While all the other girls my age were into ponies, my obsession was The Real Ghostbusters. lol The great big firehouse playset was my Paradise Estate.

The suits in the picture were made by Komickrazi Studios. It was definitely perfect fursuiting weather.  A great cause too...I'd love to try manning a Salvation Army kettle in suit with my sweetie/handler. Maybe next year when I finish my pony suit, if we can find a venue that will let us do it.

I drilled out the little section where Twilight's keychain would have clipped on and fed a ribbon through the hole. Ornament Twilight is now hanging on the Christmas tree right beside American Greetings Pinkie Pie. (I also put one of the Tim Horton's coffee pot ornaments right next to Pinkie. It seemed appropriate.  )

TRU ponies are on sale right now, so I picked up the Rarity/Daisy Dreams scooter set. Daisy has a pretty bad head/body mismatch, but that adorable scarf she comes with makes it much less noticeable.

Well, the online version of the newspaper because the Herald doesn't print on Sundays anymore, and I'm in my full fursuit. Wild Rose Critters had a suiting event on Saturday...a charity fun run for the Salvation Army. Some guys from the Calgary Herald were there snapping pictures, and the next day I was in one of the pictures on their website!  http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/calgary/gallery+Santa+Shuffle/7639409/story.htmlI'm the black dragon in front, and the cat behind me is Crimson Slasher. (I think the cat's name is Candy, but Crimson is the guy's name on the WRC forum.)

They're in great shape too! I don't actively collect g3s and I already have the Twilight MIP, but the whole bag of 4 was a dollar! How can anyone say no to that? Now I'm just in love with Starsong.

I must be having some extraordinary luck here...I snagged another 2 today. (1 of which is already spoken for.) They had 3, but AJ had weird misprinted eyebrows so I passed on that one.
Keep trying Superstore, Canadians! And scour the ENTIRE toy section. The ponies are scattered everywhere. Calgarians, I keep finding mine in the Martindale location, and the one by Sunridge Mall.

Last weekend's pony hunt was a big bust, so I hit up a Goodwill that I had never been to before and scored a little bag of 3 McDonald's ponies and a very good quality fakie. A 2012 g4 Twilight that will become a tree ornament, a 2005 g3 Pinkie Pie, and (I had to look this one up) a 2008 g3 Starsong. All that cuteness for one dollar! These little beauties are my very first g3s. I have officially fallen down the slippery slope of pony collecting.

Acetone hard to come by? I found mine in an auto parts store, and it's well worth getting. Maybe I can get in on all of this awesome expertise. I have a Fashion Style Fluttershy that I rescued from a thrift store, and the poor girl had a rough life with her last owner. I don't think sunfading is an option here. She has purple pen marks (pen, not marker) in one ear, in both eyes, and on her scalp. Magic Eraser didn't work.  I can repaint her eyes if I need to, but what about the scalp mark? Would acetone leech into the hair plugs and dissolve the glue holding them in?
