I remember seeing G3 Tinka-Tinka-Too in stores several years ago. I wish I would have gotten her, considering how rare and expensive she is now.

She's rare?? God, I have her. Didn't know that!
I heard the original G4 Applejack FS with the forelock is rare now too, she was my first G4 and I didn't know that either! But I could be wrong on that one.

Pony Corral / Re: If you were wondering how Hasbro is doing...

Anyway, I think they are right about kids and video games and computer games. Kids don't have an imagination for physical toys anymore. Electronic games make up the storyline for them.

That right there, I find that insanely sad. I'm 15 and even at my highschool, kids glued to their phones and get all pissy if they get taken away, say their life sucks without it and they're soo bored. I come home, write, draw, make customs, all that! And people think I'm ridiculously creative. No, not really. xD I just have an imagination outside of a little screen.

My one year old cousin has his own tablet and know how to work it. I just shake my head, he can't even talk yet. In my humble opinion, the majority of all the kids in these newer generations are just... Being dumbed down. They have no skill, imagination, ability to live without technology and "robots" doing things for them. This doesn't speak for all kids, but a hell of a lot of them. Anyway... Enough ranting about me disliking kids these days, git off mah lawn now. *Shakes cane at*

Even if they don't read it or take it into consideration, I'm gonna mail Hasbro real quick. I've done it before and got a response once, the other one was automated. (Unless they have super sarcastic employees. I said some really snarky things to them back when G3.5 was going on about how awful they were and they needed a change and quick. They thanked me for my kind words and compliments xD)

Edit: Wow sorry this is so long... But on the pony digital game idea, remember those Webkin things? I don't know if they're still around, I never see them cause I go straight to Legos or Ponies without browsing but I almost feel like they'd be turned into that. I remember playing it as a really little kid, that game got so ridiculous. xD

Pony Corral / Re: You win, Blind Bag Ponies. Now I need emotional support!

I love blind bags but nor nearly as much as brushables. xD I just display them on my pony shelves, at the very front so they can be seen.

I have 13 blind bags now, three metallic Pinkies and two metallic Applejacks.  :cloud: I hate doubles. I had two Fluttershys but I gave one away. And then I have a ton of those G3 Ponyvilles too, which are the same size.

Oh! My favorite stuffed animal ever as a kid was a Build A Bear, got her at age 3 and I still have her, it's a tabby cat named Kitty. She's a raggity ball of... Rags now. xDD SO dirty.

I haven't been to Build A Bear since I was what, 7? And I'm 15 now. I love how they have brushable hair, and they don't look scary like the other G4 plush... I really want Rainbow Dash now. 8O

Customs / Spiderpony!
« on: February 04, 2013, 03:58:49 PM »
I made a Spiderpony! I combined a Redback with a Black Widow to get her patterns, the big widow thorax, but the Redback stripe running down it. The six dots down her muzzle are supposed to represent the six other eyes besides her two pony ones. Now she won't be as amazing as some of the insanely talented artists on here that can make elaborate, beautiful customs, but I like her and I think she's pretty good.

You don't have to read this part, I just wrote it for fun. xD
Just imagine you're a pony, walking through a dark forest for the some relaxation time. Suddenly, you walk into a giant spider web, you back up and try to shake it off, but you're stuck!! You see the silhouette of a large, black, eight legged pony, with a thorax on her rear where her tail would usually be! She comes scuttling down the web at you and you try to wriggle free, terrified, but it's too late! She's already upon you. As she moves closer you can see her eight red eyes blinking at you, and she smiles and evil grin revealing two large pincers that she quickly plunges into your veins.

Sorry for so many pictures! I am really proud of her. (Please ignore the white spot on her leg, I accidentally dug a hole in the wet clay last night so I filled it up with glue and I'm gonna paint over it.)

By the time I was completely done with her except for her mane, I was already frustrated at her mangled first front leg from me trying to put the teeth in (I crushed up some clear thumbtacks, cut the heads off the pins inside, poked holes with another tack into the spots I wanted the fangs and stuck the cut up pins in backwards, so yes they're real and she's "bitten" me twice now xD), I decided it wasn't worth risking damaging her more by trying to do something with her hair, plus too long of hair would cover up her details. So I decided to cut it down almost to nothing, and add it in as a feature of the breed. Spiderponies can grow their hair out if they truly wish to, but most prefer to cut it very short so it doesn't get tangled in their webs.

Here she is with the remnants of her former mate (she is part Widow, afterall)-

She's developing a ton of character and personality. She's not exactly a "good girl", she's a bit of a cannibal and dines on ponies. I don't have a set name for her yet, but I'm playing with the idea of Elvira Pierce.

Thanks for looking!!  :frolic: :art:

Pony Corral / Question about baby Cuddles...
« on: February 03, 2013, 07:21:14 PM »
Is she supposed to be blue? Like a really light, sky blue kinda color. I see her on the internet in that color a lot but mine are both (One was my aunts as she gave me her entire childhood G1 collection and one a friend gave me, I'm kind of attached to both otherwise I wouldn't have twins) a dingy seafoam green... You know Morning Glory, the Flutterpony? A little darker than her. Are they just dirty or what?

Thanks! :frolic:

Edit: Oh also, they're not the beddy bye eye versions.

Woot!  :lovey: I preordered two Dr. Whooves the other day, one's a gift for someone though. Really hoping I don't get any of the clear ones, I don't like those...
Wish they could ship a little sooner, though.  :drunk:

edit: Galactica, please excuse me for being stupid but which Fluttershy is the design-a-pony and which is the Funko? I've never seen either in person so I can't make an educated guess xD

Pony Corral / Re: Do your ponies have personalities?
« on: February 02, 2013, 07:09:36 PM »
Oh I love the stories guys! I guess maybe I'll share a few of mine if ya' guys don't mind.

Tex and my G4 FS Applejack are a couple, they just seem to work. xDD Then Applebloom is Applejack's little sister, Lucky the G1 baby boy pony is Tex's nephew, and my G3 Applejack is the G4's cousin. Frilly Frocks and my G3 Bowtie are sisters, and their cousins Starswirl and Strawberry Swirl are sisters. My G4 Lemony Gem and G3 Meadow Brooke are sisters. I have a G3 Sweetie Belle, and Honolulu and G4 Sweetie Belle are her kids. Gem Blossom and Royal Bouquet are sisters. I think that's it for my families that I put together on my own instead of mothers that actually do have babies. And if I have ponies from different generations but same names, like the Cotton Candys, they're usually cousins.

I don't like keeping the personalities from the FiM show for my G4's, so my FS Shining Armor is actually a punk rocker, cause of his amazing mohawk. He has a perfectly sized black little guitar that's slung around his shoulders. His best friend is Headbanger, a heavy metal pony custom I made who also has a perfectly sized guitar. Headbanger likes Sweetsong, the G4 one with the glimmer wings. Toola Roola is the Ponyland artist, she's constantly doing commissions and stuff and she came with paint splotches on her and a little painter's palette that clips to her hoof. My only Seapony guided the "Ship". For a while all my ponies were in a box so when I played with em I pretended it was a boat, she was the lookout for the captain. Princess Tiffany, the snow angel Snow'El, Snowflake and Periwinkle are my winter queens.
I have three witches, Pumpkin Tart, Abra Cadabra and the Target Halloween Starsong, PT was always Abra's apprentice and they were training Starsong how to become a good witch. They had wands and cauldrons and spellbooks and such.
Oh and Nightmare Moon and my other custom, Valaris, are the two evil ponies who try to take over Ponyland. So many other stories and personalities too but this is getting too insanely long. xDD

I wonder, do you guys ever take your ponies down occasionally and actually play with them? I don't really anymore since I'm 15, but I have two or three times just because of all the new ponies I have. xD

To be honest I'm not interested in any of this stuff, it looks... Kinda like a bunch of junk, to be honest. >_> The cottage looks a little cool, too bad I sold all my pony houses a couple years ago, I really regret that now or I'd start collecting those again.

What's this guitar everyone's talking about? I didn't see one anywhere.

I agree lol, kind of gross but funny :P

I swear it reminds me of the garbage pail kids. If anyone knows what they are they were gross knock offs of the cabbage patch kids. I think they were trading cards. Not to be off topic.

You're right, they do remind me of the Garbage Pail Kids! xD

Pony Corral / Am I the only one who doesn't like the pony art?
« on: February 02, 2013, 04:07:55 PM »
Pony art as in the cartoons and back cards and stuff, for all generations! G1 was the best for back card art but I still am not really a fan of it. In my opinion, for -all- the generations, it just looks sloppily done and hurried through to me. >_> *Dodges thrown fakies* I think G3 was the worst for this. Their heads were always odd shapes and squished/oversized looking, their eyes would change position, their smiles looked kinda like they found a box of strange pills and ate them all, and their legs were always stumpy with squished hips. In the G1 cartoons, it was like that too. And I remember in the flutter movie, sometimes the characters would switch voice actors briefly! I haven't seen much G2 art and never seen a cartoon for them if one was ever made, but from what I've seen I'm not fond of that one either. FiM is okay for the fact that they don't have squished body parts and problems the other cartoons had, but the art is way too reused.
I just don't like the art for ponies too much. I understand it takes a long time to make cartoons, but I'd rather them spend longer on it and make it less... Sloppy looking.

Am I the only one who feels this way or do you guys have similar thoughts? Hope I'm not just the one Debbie Downer in the forum xD
