You are a doll for doing this! Are you planning to do any of the other stories you got from breyer600?
I sure am! What I want to do is scan in the pages from the MLP books I have (I'm pretty sure I at least have The Magic Rainbow) so I can show the pages while the sound file plays. But that will take a little longer to set up since it requires a bunch of scanning.

Sorry folks, turns out it was a hoax! Weep with me! Apparently Hewlett-Packard is uploading MLP themed laptop mock-ups (just Photoshops at this point) of MLP FIM themed laptops. AMAZING. Well, I was thinking of replacing my laptop in a year or two anyway, so this is timely. The job situation around here got even worse once the state slashed WorkStudy funding. Suddenly a bunch of college kids who had previously been doing little on-campus jobs like barista or research assistant were looking for non-University part-time jobs. I mean, how does that help the state's economy?? And it's not like those on-campus jobs aren't needed any more, they will still need people to serve coffee and help with research . . . It doesn't make any sense!
I have been super lucky in terms of jobs . . . I got out of my old dead-end job about two years before the economy tanked, and have been fortunate enough to find part-time and summer jobs through my professors since then.
To you folks in college, really try to connect with your teachers, take advantage of seminars and talks where you can meet people from industries you might like to work in, and network, network, network. That is what will get you a job.

I think the big toys are the first to get "cleaned out" of the house. I have found soooo many G3 crawling Pinkie Pies, Good Morning Sunshines, the G3 singing Pinkie Pie, G3 Fashion Styling ponies . . .
If you don't care about accessories, I highly recommend not purchasing toys like Talking Celestia brand new and just waiting for them to show up at the thrift store.

"White Windy" exists in the same way that "white Blue Belle" exists . . . There are definitely some Windys who are paler than other Windys, but they are not "white" in the same way that Majesty or Glory is white. They were meant to be lavender.
One thing to remember about Windy is that she was ALWAYS a very pale lavender color without much hue compared to, say, Heart Throb or Lickety-Split. Though I do suspect some of the "whiter" ones have had some of their pigment leach out over the years.
But I've also seen Windys on eBay that the sellers claimed where white when in fact they were just a plain, ordinary Windy who wasn't even faded.

I'm worried we won't be getting the Prince outside of the playset. Hasbro might not be confident boy ponies will sell well on their own yet.
I don't know, I think having a Prince as a playset might be an indication that they DO think boys will be popular. "Oh, you want a boy pony, huh? Well, I guess you will just have to shell out the $$$ to get him because he is exclusive to this playset. MWAHAHAHAHAAAA!" If you recall, this is exactly how the first G3 baby pony, Pink Sunsparkle, was introduced. When Hasbro was unsure about producing G3 pegasi, they released Star Catcher as a single to test the waters--not as cheap as your average pony, but much cheaper than a playset. (Why they thought pegasus ponies might not be popular I have no idea, but that's what the Hasbro reps at SDCC told me.)

Oh my GOD, Hasbro, stop putting the DVDs IN FRONT OF THE PONIES! It looks so trashy!
Oh, I finally get the suitcase thing . . . it's supposed to make you want to buy the train playset. Because they're "going on a trip." And then, in case you didn't get the hint, they put traintracks on the back of the card. OH HASBRO, YOU SO SUBTLE.

If I was home, I would take a pic for you! But I won't be home tonight.
Just in case I can get home and get a pic for you, which Ember do you want? Blue, purple or pink?
Purple with pink hair would be my preference, just because that's what she looked like in RaMC, but really any of them would be fine. Thanks so much for the offer! Meanwhile I am continuing to hunt around for my camera. I KNOW I saw it recently, aaaargh, where did it goooo?

Ohhhhhh! Color me intrigued! I want this . . . but don't want to drop a bunch of cash on a playset I don't want.
I guess I will cross my fingers that the ponies eventually make it to thrift stores.

It's super cute! Ember's voice reminds me a little of Rudolph . . . Failing a photo, does anyone have a scan of that poster that shows Ember rolling on the grass while the rest of the Year 2 ponies frolic around?
