Nope, these look a tube with a folded end and the tip works like a ball point pen. They were really popular in the 70s and 80s. The paint itself is smooth on the fabric and will last longer than the fabric itself. I have several quilts and shirts made with it from when I can very young. ;) I'm really hoping I can find a place to buy replacement tips so I can get them working again.

My mother had a bunch of TriChem fabric paints when I was a kids and we used them all the time. Well, no one has used them for years now, but I would like to. The problem is that they all seem to need the tips replaced. Does anyone know where I can get them? Does anyone even know what I'm talking about? :P

PM and I would be interested but we'd do one box between us if that's ok?

That would be just fine. :)

i'd love to join but i'm not sure about my money status, so depending when you do sign ups, i may not be able to. but would be looking forward to seeing some brag pics from everyone in the brag area!
not sure how much feedback is needed, but i've done quite a few trades, people just haven't left feedback yet. do references count? meaning names of people who haven't left feedback, but who could say they did do a trade? i keep a notebook of names and what was sold or traded.

You are already pretty close. I usually require five feedbacks. You could send PMs to those who still owe you feedback. They may have forgotten or were waiting for the new Arena to come up. ;) And, like I've mentioned, I *might* be able to make an exception or two. :)

I got an *Amazing* extra for my partner today! :cheer: I am pumped!

I also received a pony that would be perfect except she has two teeth marks on her, like animal teeth marks, one on either side of her face. I am really torn about her. Her hair is amazing and she has no other marks or flaws. Why did it have to be on her face?! *exasperated*

Favorite colors? Umm? I love orange, but a burnt pumpkin spice orange, not a bright, loud hunter orange. I love autumn colors, orange, yellow, reds and browns. I am planning on painting my pony room a pinkish red color. I also wear a lot of black, blue and green. I guess you could say I like all colors, especially jewel tones. I don't care for pastels, though. They seem washed out and faded to me.

It sounds like the general consensus it to wait a few more weeks. So I will launch the intro on Saturday February 11.

For the newbies who might need some help with feedback, send me a PM once the swap thread is started. I *Might* be able to make an exception or two. ;)

I hope to see you all then! :frolic:

I don't have any feedback, so I won't be joining, but I'm planning on doing some art stuff and maybe in a little while I will have enough FB to start doing swaps :)

You've been in one of my swaps already! That qualifies you!

@ Sternenstaub and Eternia~ Mid February? Noted! :)

Hi! I'm new the swaps but I've always wanted to join one.

I read your other post and I'm confused by this line:

"You *DO NOT* have to send ponies from your partner’s want list unless you want to/ are able to. (But I do encourage it, if you can!)"

Does this mean my partner might send me any random mlp's in existence if I join this swap? What if my partner sends me a bunch of G2's or G1's and I only collect G3/G4's? Or what if I only collect unicorns and someone sends me earthies?

I'm not saying my wish list is full of nirvanas and rares, because it's not, a lot of my wish list is cheap/common ponies. But there are some MLP's I just don't collect and wouldn't really be excited to open a package only to find ponies I can't put in my collection.

That *is* a risk in a random swap. Most people do try to send ponies from their partner's list, especially if their partner has easier-to-find ponies on their list, like you. Swaps are all about spoiling your partner, but not everyone has a want list. ;)

Pony Corral / Gauging Interest for the Next Little Swap

I know there are a few swaps currently running in the Corral, so I'm checking to see if there would be enough interest to start a new Little Swap. Here is the link to the last one I hosted.

http://mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=273838.html

The rules would be the same. It's a great swap for newbies (although, I do require a bit of feedback.) Any takers?

Tex is and always will be one of my very favorite ponies. My early childhood was a rather lonely time for me. My mother was in a very bad place in her life and I was mostly ignored by my older siblings, so I always played with my ponies by myself. Mom got remarried when I was seven and my stepfather became the center of my world. He is the first person I ever remember playing with me. He bought Tex for me and when he played with me the only pony he ever wanted was Tex. I gladly surrendered him just so someone would play with me. My stepfather is still my hero. :)

We moved to Maine what I was 10 and I started the fifth grade. I met this girl named Carrie who also had and loved ponies. We became fast friends (my first real friend!) and we didn't care that the other kids picked on us because we were "too old" for ponies. She drew me a picture that I still have. We would almost compete with each other to see who could get the coolest ponies. She usually won! One day she brought the most beautiful Rain Curl pony with perfect curls to school, but sadly, she got a pen mark on her neck with in Carrie's backpack. I told her I could get the mark off, so I took her home with me. A few days later I found out that Carrie had to move away suddenly. We kept in touch as much as possible and we saw each other a few times a year, but of course we weren't as close as we used to be. Fast forward years later and I'm getting married and moving in with my hubby. I got a job a McDonalds and guess who is working there? Carrie! So we reignited our friendship and shortly after we agreed that since Rain Curl had been living with me for so long anyway I should officially keep her. (To this day, she still has a faded blue ink mark on her neck!) And you all now know Carrie as Mareacooda! :)
