Honestly I was reminded of the Blind Bag pony named Pepperdance when I saw the Chili Pepper G5 (pretty sure that one is named Ruddy Sparks?)

So I checked my local Walmart after getting my 2nd vaccine shot, and looks like they cleared out some space on the shelf... the tags were for Hairmazing dolls, Calico Critters, and some MLP

Haven't seen any of the new figures at my store yet. The shelf is kind of void of ponies other than the large pack of G4 Movie versions with sculpted hair and the PL pack with Pinkie and DJ

You know, the more I look at not-brushable-brushable Hitch the more bothered I am by his head mold, like... it kinda looks like he doesn't have teeth?
His jaw is just larger with the closed mouth, which honestly reminds me of Mr. Cake from FiM

The apples didn't have the same last names either. The Cakes were the only ones I recall who actually had the same 2nd word name.
There is a lot of oddball naming in the FiM series due to some ponies not having duo names either.
Pinkie and her family have consistent second words for their names too!
But yeah most of the time they do not.
Ah I forgot about Pinkie's family, mostly due to not watching all the seasons of FiM... I got kind of sick of it

Argyle's medallion there looks like Twilight's cutie mark. Also, why does he not seem to have a cutie mark of his own?
He does, it's shown on his toy. I think it's a plot point.
Oohh I missed that - maybe that's why his full name is "Argyle Starshine"? Like how we had Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, etc? Argyle Starshine doesn't exactly fit the pattern, but it's somewhat reminiscent of those names, I suppose.
Wouldn't it be Starscout then?
According to a new set of blindbags I posted in the toy thread, his name is actually Argyle Starshine, which is really weird! Maybe Sunny's last name is a mix of both parents, though Argyle appears to be a single father
Naming schemes in FiM between the parents and kids didn't always match... Remember Twilight's brother is Shining Armor but she is called Twilight Sparkle... neither of the parents have those last names (Twilight Velvet, who I believe had a blind bag version of herself, and Night Light, who I believe was given that name by the fandom due to looking similar to Nachtlicht from the G1 toys) The apples didn't have the same last names either. I noticed the "budget" figures is lacking Izzy. Honestly I'd pick up the ponies as singles (primarily for future customizing), but I don't need all 5 at once (might be why I'm looking more at those "budget" ponies)

Alphabittle's design makes me got "Errr...." His symbol seems to be a seashell? He's a Unicorn, but it seems Unicorn horns are now more or less between the ears like party hats Argyle's medallion there looks like Twilight's cutie mark. Also, why does he not seem to have a cutie mark of his own?
His mark may be on the unseen side... from what I have noticed is that sometimes the marks seem to switch sides in the promotional stuff

The style in the 2D art is really a mix of G2 and G4 from what I can tell.
Not a fan of all the animals/pets having a horn though :x

So both Zipp and Pipp are actually princesses. Yet up till now they were only using the Princess title for Pipp.

I believe Pipp Petals is called Princess Petals because she has something to do with being a pop star or something.
Both her and Zipp actually have a crown as part of their symbols
