So far the meal thing is going well. I'm late eating lunch, which could snowball into snacking if I don't watch my time better. Off to make a salad! I've also been packing up a huge pony order to weigh for shipping, so the fundraising thing is going super well.

My other one (although I completely agree with everything said so far) is flutter pony wings. Dang those original wing tabs. What percentage of those are left intact to this day? What toy company creates something that snaps off in the hands of any child (and most adults) who attempt to handle them?

Maybe it's a conspiracy and Hasbro intended for their wings to be so fragile on purpose so people would have to go out and buy replacement ponies?  :really:

Can't be! Next you'll be saying they're only in it for the money!

I was just saying the same thing about the early Luna and Celestia's eyes! Did no one look at the pony straight on before approving the designs?? They look like they've been kicked in the head.

My husband is the person whose opinion I care most about besides my own. He studies me and finds me quirky. So for him, me collecting is just an extension of that quirkiness. He keeps tabs on my wish list and makes an attempt to get me what I want for special occasions. Sometimes he succeeds and gets the right thing!  He has a model airplane collection (including Lego ones he designed himself) so he understands the toy thing to a certain degree. He got a little overwhelmed when I first found the Arena and realized I wasn't the only adult collector, because the pony population in our bedroom kind of exploded that year. LOL! So he and I agreed on getting me a really nice cabinet and I can stuff that thing full as I want, but I promised him no more ponies staring at us while we... uh, sleep.  :P

My mom is so great about it, because she was the one who bought me all my childhood G1's and she still remembers most of them by sight. She loves that I still keep them. She also patiently listens while I ramble on about it.

Friends my own age, that's a different story for sure. One "friend" I made the mistake of letting her see my cabinet and then she announced at a party in a really loud voice that I was OBSESSED WITH PONIES, which I'm not. It's a hobby, not an obsession. I think my closest friend finds my collecting amusing, maybe even fascinating, but definitely can't relate. The other friends I don't really tell. And if they somehow find out, I just tell them I do it as a way to spend time with my daughters (which is only partly true! ha!).

What 3 goals do you want to achieve?
1. Avoid processed sugar & grains (I have already been doing this 100% for 2 weeks so far...)
2. Do the 7-minute workout at least 2x per week, ideally 3x though  (Haven't started yet, baby steps)
3. Get some fundraising ideas off the ground (selling off old eBay stock, some of my collection & artwork, etc.)

How will you reward yourself?
Picking out a grail pony and finally getting it!

What is you ultimate goal?
1. Lose weight
2. Raise money to fund an adoption

Thanks for doing this Crowning Glory! It's a great idea!

The 4.5's look like rodents to me. Just sayin. LOL!
I'm going to keep working on my G1's and my G4 brushables but I probably won't be buying 4.5.

Is this from "Baby It's Cold Outside"?

LS + Port o bella, for a MIB set they are hovering around $35-40, but a loose POB could be $20-$25 just on her own in mint condition. LS doesn't go for much on her own.
Licensing Show Rarity, a LOT. Like anywhere between $100 and $175 depending on how many are on the market.
Rarity and Sweetie Bell, probably very little since they are so common. $3-4?
For Star Catcher, it depends on which one you have. Is it the color changing styling version? Fabric wings? Molded wings? Also depends on condition. :)

Anypony else with observations might have even better numbers for you but that's what I've seen. :)

So in May of last year my house DID burn down!  My thoughts were not on ponies at all.  I grabbed my kids and our pets and ran for it.
Oh, wow! So glad you made it out okay. That would be terrifying!
What an amazing story! Thank you for sharing it!  :lovey:
