« on: November 06, 2015, 04:53:46 PM »
I'll leave the price checks to the experts but if you want to sell MOC Twilight I will buy her!  She is the last MOC I need from that set.

Yes I have had it happen as well.  I agree it is the product of a rusty washer.

Pony Corral / Re: Restored or flaws?
« on: October 27, 2015, 10:14:08 AM »
No restores for me!  Everything must be original or I am not interested.  I also happen to be a very picky collector and will hold out for mint condition items so that usually takes care of the problem of flawed ponies as well.  I like very minty girls and boys at my house!

Yes!  I love this pony!  My childhood princess along with Tiffany so she has a very special place in my heart.  Mine is in terrible shape but I recently got a mint one to display.  Such a beautiful girl.

Pony Corral / Re: Do you ever take a Hiatus from Pony collecting?
« on: October 10, 2015, 02:11:19 PM »
I am on hiatus right now.  After the fair this year I just lost interest in actively collecting.  I still love my ponies and eventually I'll come back around but for now I am concentrating on other things.  I'm not sure if I'm even going to pony fair this year.  I've enjoyed it the last few years but if I'm not actively collecting I'll probably let it go by this year.  I do this every few years.  I need six months to a year to regroup and then I come back and go gang busters.  :)

Pony Corral / Re: Who are your favorite Flutter Ponies?
« on: August 14, 2015, 07:38:27 PM »
I LOVE Forget-Me-Not's pose!  She is hands down my favorite flutter.  I wanted her so badly as a kid but got Wind Drifter instead.  I love her to pieces too but my second favorite has to be Peach Blossom.  I love her name and I am a sucker for that pose.  :)

Oh I want it so bad. Rose is my birth flower. I'm in Canada so I don't know if I'll be able to order :(

Let me know if you want one and I can bring it to the MI meet for you. :)  It looks like they only have the white one available now.

Off Topic / Re: Savings
« on: July 23, 2015, 11:18:27 AM »
Saving and budgeting is hard work and takes a lot of resolve to do.  My husband and I both have good salaries but have resolved not to allow our lifestyle to match our income.  We purposely live below our means so we are prepared in case of disaster or unexpected expenses.  I have several saving accounts set up for certain things, Christmas, bills, home improvement, vacation, back to school for the kids as well as our main savings account.  Every time we are paid we fund those accounts.  Some weeks that's $25.00 and some weeks it's only $5.00.  The point is that SOMETHING goes in every time.  It's amazing how helpful it is to have the money set aside when life pops up and you can pull the $ from that particular savings account.  Then the saving starts over again.  We also pick a bill, usually the one with the smallest balance and work on putting extra money towards it.  When it's paid off that money immediately goes down on the next smallest bill along with that bills payment.  It's called debt snowball and my husband and I have been doing it for years.  It is amazing how fast you can get out of debt as long as you don't take out new money or spend those payments for something else.  My pony money and other recreational spending happens once both of the these things have been taken care of.  It there is not money left at the end of the month there are no ponies.  ;)

I need Starshine!!!  It doesn't appear you can order them online though which is disappointing.  I tried for almost 45 minutes last night but only got as far as a store near me that carries them.....but they weren't in stock when I called.  I wonder if there are any on Ebay.......
