Trader & Shipping Support / Re: eBay worry
« on: January 24, 2017, 03:24:28 PM »
I ordered a ton of minis from Taiwan and then did a second order before I received the first.  Just cause I happened to notice some variations I'd missed the first time.  I had no ill intentions, but I think I worried him, because he registered and tracked my second package but not my first lol.  I guess I can see why it might look concerning, but you're probably safe :)

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Combined Shipping Question

What Taffeta said!  There's two sellers I buy from all the time who always give combined shipping, and now, for whatever reason, ebay won't allow me to request combined totals anymore.  Thankfully they're honest and always refund.  Ebay's definitely not motivated to fix this glitch though.  They get more fees from sellers by forcing buyers to pay inflated shipping costs up front.  Just another way ebay can screw their sellers.

I would love to know who got the pony and kept it.  There's no way I'd want to sell to someone that dishonest!!  If you ever find out who it was, please let us know!  I'm so sorry this has happened to you. :(

When I sell on ebay, I don't require immediate payment on BIN's, however, ebay still forces my buyers to pay immediately.  I've made sure the box is unchecked and even called ebay on this.  They said immediate payment on BIN's is part of their new requirements to decrease non-paying bidders.  It also allows ebay to charge more fees on the excessive shipping.  Even though I always refund my buyers after combining shipping costs for them, ebay still charges me the fees based on the total shipping cost originally paid, no matter what I refund my buyers.  It's infuriating.

The only way I've found around this for myself, is to log into a foreign ebay site (usually German ebay), input the listing number, and then I'm allowed to "commit to buy" without actually paying.  Then I can request a combined total from the seller.  Don't know why.  Lovely ebay.  By doing this, you do give up your ebay bucks though.

If you search for mlp whitney as a user on facebook, her first name is set up as mlp and her last name is whitney.  :)  she's in lots of different my little pony facebook groups.  Hopefully that helps :)  I'm out of the country and stuck with my smart phone and only intermittent cell service.  Facebook is very difficult for me to navigate right now ;)

I believe mlp whitney on facebook owns a moc nursery set.  She might be able to help you out.

Trader & Shipping Support / Re: Country on sales...

I think a globe icon would be great!  I usually have so much to put in my titles I don't want to waste space saying "worldwide shipping" or whatever.  Individual country flags would be nice too for those that don't ship outside their own country.

You moved from the US to Canada Baby Squirmy?  You poor poor thing *hugs*  I moved from Canada to the US so I was the opposite.  And I hear you, shipping is terrible!  Back in the late 90's Canada Post used to be pretty comparable.  Then around 2003 it went crazy stupid.  That ended my collecting/buying/selling/trading.  When I finally got to the States it was like someone let loose a flood gate and I could start wheeling and dealing and collecting all the ponies I wanted! :D

Oh! Newspaper would be great!  Or old magazines or something.  That ways it's even more of a surprise cause you can't see what's in the ball! :D

« on: November 06, 2016, 01:28:09 PM »
Yep, I've had lots of Asian buyers do this with my pony auctions lately :)  From what I can tell, as long as you ship to the address specified in with their payment, (even if it's a third party agent) you are protected.  It's when they ask you to manually mail to a different address than the payment when you can get in trouble. :)
